Honestly, Verina will probably go uncontested longer too. We all know how limited banners in gachas usually try to FOMO with DPS power creep usually, less so healer and utility power creep. You'll get like 1 or 2 really core support powerhouses, and everything else is mostly dps and some sub dps, over a year or so.

Jiangxian is highly slept on. I can't wait to take her into endgame stuff, but the overworld bosses that are higher level than me are melting. Her channeled heavy does silly amounts of damage. Got her and Calcharo, so I can use her as a sub-dps/support, with Mortefi as well. It's still super early, but everything is melting.

yeah, she will probably be the only standard character that will scale well into lategame and is hard to powercreep. Worst case she can always use support set and work as a quickswap buffer/grouper, especially with c6 she can proc her shield instantly. The other standard banner characters will get replaced by limited characters in the coming patches, Jianxin being the only one with a very unique niche and good sequence chains too boost her effectiveness.

Jianxin* but I agree. CC is always good to have. I'd suggest her or Verina to new players. DPS characters will always continue to get released but I think strong supports will stay useful longer/be more flexible, especially bc you need multiple teams. So even if a "better version" of Jianxin gets released, she can be put on your second or third team

( though the downside is you have to make sure she's cleared for her to cast her resonance since she can easily be interrupted by some or few certain enemies from casting her shield.

Which is another dumb thing, cause why the fuck is everyone always going by what CN says. But almost every CC before the game launched shit on Jianxin. Except Volkin and Gachsmack. Funny thing is, almost all of them have flip flopped and theyre all using her now lmao. The worst part is, most of them have admit they either never built and used her in CBT, or just never read her kit cause it's a lot of words. So they spent weeks telling everyone she's bad, just cause CN didn't have her at tier 0. Like Mtashed, who ended up pulling her on Jiyan banner, built her and then was like....."yo she's pretty damn good" and his chat roasted him and he goes "well I never built her in CBT". And people like Mr Pokke was on a podcast with Rubee and Mina, they both said they love using her cause she shields, heals, etc. and he goes "she doesn't heal" and they both told him she does and he goes "really???? I have no idea what her kit does, Ive just never heard anyone say anything good about her". It's insane. Lot of people just look at damage multipliers on paper and then write units off. But this isn't Genshin. Piloting the unit comes into play. If you use a tier 0 unit but you suck and I use a bottom tier unit, but pilot them really well, then I will put DPS your "meta" unit lol.

I got Verina just now & ran to watch a video to see whether she's good. Tbh I wasnt happy at first in getting healing character but after seeing this video & this guy's enthusiasm for Verina, the buffs she gives, I am actually happy now that I got her. Thanks for the video man

That's pretty nice to hear, I got Verina on my first 5-star pull want calcharo and will pull Yinlin.

Since we get another 5 stars selector through mail, I'll be able to get all 3 strong standards characters as I got Encore on beginner banner. I'll get Verina for selector voucher and Calcharo on wish selector. All other standard pull will go straight to weapon banner after that.

Im a Genshin and Starrail Player and just started with Wuthering Waves on Release. I have gotten 2 5-Stars on the last 10 Pull of the limited standart Banner that is 20% off. I got Verina and then Calcharo popped up. Cant say I ever had that much luck in Hoyo Games but I thought you get at least one out of pulling and then get to select one. I cant believe i have 2 five stars from that one Banner man, finally i got my luck back. It was and is so terrible on Aventurine, Topay/Robin Banner and the Arlecchino Banner as well. Thank you for this Guide, since I already got the good Chars right of the bat O_O Ill go for Encore then. Oh just noticed i dont get the character i selected lol, had to edit my comment. I decided to do my free 20 pulls today on the actual standard banner after getting my guaranteed yesterday (I got Verina). The reasoning was so that I could save the choice banner for the character I don’t get in the early stages, and it paid off. I got Aero girl (I don’t know her name) on that second ten pull on standard, and now can pick between the others for my choice. I’ll probably keep saving the choice until I get someone else, or maybe I’ll save it forever.

Personally i think (since i commited to skipping verina) that jian xin is actually insane for the calcahrro comps. The grouping and resonance liberation buffs would be cracked for both yinlin and calcharro, and i think skipping verina is great in that case cause it allows you to justify summoning better supports later in without bricking your account Plus, the shield would be AWESOME for interruption resistance on calcharro's strings, and for people like chixia. Just a bit of theory headcanoning here. Edit: Plus, you'd have access to some aero damage in case you needed it (cause you won't have jiyan if you're going for yinlin calcharro, unless your luck is godlike). Just toss her into a comp with yangyang or alto and you're chilling. Edit: Never frickin' mind; we're getting another selector sooooo just choose verina too. Yay. Also, apparently jian xin doesn't giv interrupt res, so sorry about that

jian xin is honestly a comfort pick, cause your combo is so easy. not to mention, a free parry that you can hold for 3 seconds without worrying about perfect timing is nuts. her grouping and enhanced heavy attack( the one that gives a shield) does quite abit of dmg, and her enhanced heavy attack can parry bosses( i tested this). She is honestly jack of all trade and she is especially ez to play, making her quite good for any casual to pick up. Also, most importantly, jian xin is hot, while verina is a child, so that certainly played a part in me choosing jian xin over verina. At the end of the day, its all about who you like to play

Well. I have no idea what to do now since they just announced on the 26th as compensation for some of the bugs everyone is getting another free 5* selector chest. I have Verina, Calcharo, and Encore already. Time to decide if I want another unit for fun purposes, or a constellation for one of those 3.

I also got her on my first discounted 10 pull (8 pulls) and she's super cool! I'm now 40 to getting Verina and I'm set until a cool character piques my interest :D Encore is great! Just need to time your attacks correctly, she isn't a "click to win" unit :P

I'm seriously stuck between Calcharo and Encore. I was planning on getting Yinlin when she gets released, which is why I was leaning toward Cal. But Encore is just so cute, and after getting to try her during part of the main story, she's really fun to play.

The way I got ludicrously lucky in this game...I got Calcharo within like 30 on the starter banner, won the 50/50 for Jiyan within 30, then used my single 5-star selector pull for Verina. Now I'm charting for Encore in the other Beginner wish. Based on your mentioning her like, a lot, and the fact that I have several of her wavebands, looks like I'll be building Sanhua as my Glacio unit, next.

0:01 Motivation

Best 5 star is the one you like the most(design, gameplay, looks, VA, etc) and ofc the one who you want to use daily. Meta don't matter if you can't stand the character you pulled(me with tiger pup). I rerolled on 5 accounts to get Sephiroth.

I got Verina and Jiaxin on my second pull on the beginner banner, now im going for Lingyang, i know hes not the best but i love his play style, and the character itself

Got jianxin on the beginner banner, selected calcharo, and got him with that free 10 pull on my first pull🔥

(JJK Mnaga spoilers, somehow) I got chapter 261 Gojo and actual female Venti and they've been a blast, honestly almost all the characters in he gam have been so fun, goodluck to everyone wishing

I love to pick what i like to play and what character i like and playstyle etc... I got verina in first banner and im thinking of pulling culcharo guy 🤷‍♂️

Surprisingly I got Calcharo from the discounted banner earlier today! I was so elated cause he's the one I wanted from the standard roster! Wuwa be giving us a great start for its release 🥰 Will definitely level him up. His design is so cool and the attacks are satisfying!

I got Calcharo surprisingly on my very first pull in the game (I could never in Genshin lol) -- and from Jiyan's limited banner on top of that, so I went ahead and just picked Verina from the free character selector banner. Contemplating now if I should pull for Jiyan's signature weapon that Calcharo can also use, or just save up until Yilin comes.

Just got Verina from the beginner banner, going for Calcharo on the selecty banner. Pog

For anyone using Encore as main DPS: Yangyang is a fantastic support. Her Outro grants Energy which is a perfect pairing for Encore. Basically build up Encore to throw out your Heavy attack then swap as shes using the nuke to Yangyang and build up from there to then Outro back into Encore and rinse repeat. Throw up ult any time its up. Plus Yangyangs ulti can group enemies up which is always great to swap into your main DPS.

Could not be arsed to reroll. Got jianxin and was hoping for Calcharo or Encore. Gotta say i am happy with Jianxin. Great damage, Control and her Parry is just awesome. Any of them are cool. Now is to wait for selector and get the second healer as we will need Multiple teams. Anyway, even if you get Verina first, there are a lot of awesome 4* dpses to go around

I mean, you have 1 of those 5 5* guaranteed from the beginners banner. Then you can choose another one of those 5*s that you will get in about 2-3 months (from the 80 pulls banner). Then on top of that we just got 5* ticket where you can choose anyone from the basic characters, and another one is coming our way (yeah, another 5* to pick up). At this point you can literally just pick up anyone you like, especially that the game is pretty easy with this parry/dodge system.

I got Lingyang in my first ten pulls. I don't particularly like him as a character, but I can't complain. I have saved a large number of pulls for my guarantee. Calcharo was definitely my choice!

Got Jianxin that was my ideal because she seems fun to play. While I enjoy Danjin and she will stay my main Dps anyways, I will pick up Calcharo as I’m gonna be waiting for Yinlin’s banner till I pull

Oh SPectro MC outro + Verina is just soo damn good and quick swapping can pull many dps thanks to time stop

Got verina on my first 50 pulls and chose encore as next banner I dont personally like calcharo and im not pulling for yinlin (saving for jinhsi) so encore is my best option for a dps and she has the potential to get stronger in the future with a support

I picked Calcahro for my choice banner and just hoping I get Verina while pulling for him and Jiyan. My beginner 5* was Lingyang.

I got Jiyan early, got encore on the discount banner and On my way to get the spectre healer girl on the selector banner. I'm cooking

I somehow got Verina in a single multi, now I'm going for Encore (I'm 70 pulls in, so sadly I spent for guaranteed), but I'm happy enough with my hardcore gameplay with Danjin^^

I got Encore from my beginner, lost 50/50 to Lingyang on Jiyan's banner and got Calcharo in first multi from my selection banner. I am now saving for my guaranteed Yinlin lol.

So everyone please don't impale me but my 3rd reroll netted me a God account. I now have Verona, calcharo, jianxin and encore. As much as I like to get all 5, I know myself I'm not going to use lingyang, so my issue right now is who to get for copy. Do I trust what's written in game or is there some catch

I got Jiyan in 20 pulls and Verina from the Beginner’s. Also have an E1 Mortefi, so my team is honestly set. Still gonna use my guaranteed for CALCHARO though and save my currency for Yinlin

First ten pull on the beginner banner got encore. Targeted Calcharo because I liked his design and first ten pull after that got two of him… Hoyo could never.

I got Verina from some bonus thing early in the game (wasn't paying too much attention, but she looked cool so I selected her). my random beginner pull was Calcharo, wasn't sure if he was good or not, then I chose Encore on my selector because her Ult was cute. So I got the 3 best without thinking too much about it, whew!

I got Calcharo, so I'm definitely waiting for yinlin and verina is my pick on the selection

I need a suggestion. In standard banner, the two characters I wanted were Calcharo and Jianxin. I got both of them. Which standard character should I go for in the CHOICE banner? Or should I go for calcharo copies?
