Yes, I live in N VA so all the local sports shows have this debate almost daily, trade up and what are we giving up vs. Stay put keep your draft capital to get OL, TE, WR, or EDGE with those top 2nd round picks, we have so many holes and as a bad team the history shows still would be bad but have a good or great QB, CHIEFS had a really good team, dropped Maholmes in and took off, were not a QB away, were many many positions away, trade up and lose important picks, Maye or Daniel's prefer Daniel's is not that much of a drop off, I mean who would say o man you didn't trade up to get Caleb and all you came away with was the 2023 Heisman trophy winner?! 😢😂😂😂😅 that's a good consolation prize, it's not like this is last years draft or years past where it's 1 or 2 really good QB and the drop off is significant so trading up makes sense. I think Kingsbury wants mobile elusive athletic QBs, he said so in his press conference, yeah he has to watch those hits but I think he can slide better than RG3 and don't hear any drama out of his camp about arrogance or taking hits to say im tough, controversial comments about where he doesn't want to go than saying I would go there, we haven't had real excitement since 2012, the area was electric, than the knee and it all crashed and burned

Well theyvare two different things, Maye has a stronger arm, more mph on the ball, daniels has a nice deep ball with touch but doesnt have that zip that maye does

So many “sunday” throws in his highlights. He’s going to end up being the best QB in this draft.

I can see the appeal of Jayden, but I don't see anticipation, he has all day to throw, he has an absurdly skinny frame, and he doesn't slide when he should. Hes up there with Penix as one-injury-away-from-being-another-Carson-Wentz type of career. He reminds me of RG3 and we all know how bad it got when he tore his knee up. I don't like running QBs and if you look at their history I think I'm warranted by avoiding them. Cam declined significantly and Lamar didn't get it done against the Chiefs. Why take Daniels when you can have a generational LT in Joe Alt? Why take Daniels when you can get Marvin Harrison Jr at a position that is much easier to evaluate and develop than the QB? Maybe Jayden can develop his timing and put on some weight, but there definitely is red flags people just straight up ignore.

Jayden Daniels is a polished pocket passer. That is the big difference between him and the other guys you named. He does need to add some weight. Another 5 or 10 pounds would be enough. But other than that he is super talented and a guy whos ready to start day one.

Not going lie as a commander can give me Daniels and Thomas jr and I will be hyped

he gets better as the season progresses, like the kid.

Wow, this dude is a baller too. I think May is going to be good as well. Three top QB's in one draft. Wow! WR's are great too. What a great year for draft picks. However, the question is, who will trade down or up?

Malik Nabers bailed him out on several occasions. He wont be a Joe Burrow because Malik will likely go somewhere else. Also, guys asking for trouble running hard and not smart. Gonna get him killed by Aiden Hutchinson, Danelle Hunter, Myles Garrett, Josh Allen and ECT. Wish him the best though.

He needs to start sliding more on the runs because in the nfl they hitting an he might want to gain about 10 to 15 lbs

I love JD. Probably my favorite in the class. But I’m noticing he underthrows his receivers a lot. That can be compensated for with his other talents but he’ll need to learn. He won’t get away with that in the league.

Brian Thomas looks dangerous

As a Patriots fan who just witnessed the lack of arm strength completely undo Mac Jones, I don’t like what this kid looks like. His speciality is touch passes that you can’t get away with in the NFL. Other than that he’s good at running. There’s like 5 running QBs who ended up being good NFL QBs, and most end up like Cam Newton or Colin Kaepernick where they never get even 1 ring. A running QB still has never won a super bowl. It’s always the Bradys, Mannings, and Mahomes, not the Vicks, Jacksons, or Cunninghams.

@@dantheman8152Mobile pocket passer and “dual threat” are two completely different types and OP is 100 percent correct. Dual threat QBs aren’t sustainable in the NFL. Last one out, Cam Newton who’s only 34 and been out of the league for 3 years. Dual threat QBs are the worst types in my opinion.

As a raiders fan….i think Washington should trade the number 2 pick to us for a treasure trove of picks…then use those picks and maybe 1 or 2 of your own picks to Chicago for number 1…you get Caleb Williams for really only a small amount of your own draft capitol….make it happen!

Reminds me of a better version of Justin Fields. Throws really well with a clean pocket and once he is in the move he is going to run just like JF. He doesn’t throw on the run but has a better release point than Justin Fields since he doesn’t have that throwing hitch.

Not a huge arm, but that release is quick, clean, and accurate as if gets. The way he throws the ball reminds me of Tony Romo a bit. I watched some of those LSU games and he had complete control of the offense too. I think the Commanders take him.

Too bad LSU's def underwhelmed in 2023 that OFF was special Lacy, Thomas Jr & Neighbors looked like the 2013 Broncos with Julius & Demaryius Thomas & Emmanuel Sanders

It's concerning that there doesnt seem to be many plays of him throwing over the middle of the field against zone coverage. That's sometjing he's gonna need to master to make it in the NFL. Can't just throw sideline passes to elite wide receivers.

His arm needs to get stronger and I don't think I've ever seen him throw on the run.

He’s a little thin for the NFL so if a team plans on using him as a dual threat he might need to bulk up a little otherwise seems to have an nfl arm. His delivery will need to get much quicker bc he won’t have perfect pockets and all day to set and throw like in these highlights
