Lady Pamela Hicks is still living, and recently appeared in “My Years With The Queen” which was a nicely recorded compilation of her memories over decades as a bridesmaid and Lady in Waiting to Queen Elizabeth II. The show compared and contrasted her daughter, India Hicks’, experience as bridesmaid to Diana, Princess of Wales. Ah to have that family’s longevity!

Beautiful ,beautiful and romantic a perfect love match thanks to the both of you visiting me arm in arm in your later years and telling me goodbye I enjoyed your presence in Chula Vista in the 1970s when you went by the name Rabourne for a little privacy. I loved traveling with the both of you as a long lost relative to Egypt with George Roger Waters the temple of Abu simbel is my chief memory I was very young , thank you. Lara G. What a beautiful wedding gown, such a shame it was dragged all over the wet ground and stones. So many wearing furs, they wouldn’t do that today.

Yes, Princess Elizabeth in that news reel (c.1946) is now the current Queen regnant (2021).
