Second Commandment: No Graven Images // Commandments in the 21st Century
We are taking a closer look at the 2nd commandment, found in Exodus 20:4-6: “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”
In this commandment, the Lord makes it clear that there is a punishment for idol worship, worship of graven statues of gold, silver, etc., but also of living things in this world. In Deuteronomy 7:25, He gave direct instructions to the children of Israel as to what should be done with pagan items: “The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the Lord thy God.”
God is longsuffering, not desiring that any should perish. 1 John 1:9 promises, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” God is long-suffering. He gives us opportunity after opportunity to repent and turn to him.

Please help me. I"m searching for whether or not i can continue getting tattoos. i know it says not to in Leviticus but some people are saying they are ceremonial laws that are done away with. I've recently been saved in August. Are tattoos graven images? I don't worship my tattoos. If tattoos are a sin then isn't tombstones also graven images? Jewelry? Help me please?? Isn't pictures of Jesus a sin? I'm so confused.

I would say don't get it. There are many videos you can watch on tattoos. Just ask God what he thinks about you getting a tattoo.
So wouldn't that make crosses in church's a graven image

What’s an imagen?
Why do people have depictions of what is assumed to be Jesus?
Whenever I see a meth head, I think how do they see meth heads or actors playing meth heads and think “that looks fun.” Same vibe.
Man was verily made in the Image of God [Genesis] ; the second commandment forbids Idol worship or Idolatry ; the fourth commandment affirms worship on the seventh-day Sabbath and to keep the day Holy [set apart for God] ; now if we place man's idea of what day the Sabbath day should be other than the Seventh-day ; then we not only break the fourth commandment, but we also break the second commandment in verity ; how ? by simply placing a human idea above the word of God , thereby 'hating' His word as the commandment states ; we then commit an Idolatry of man's idea , as verily as worshipping an Idol of material is Idolatry ‼️🤔 ⚠️⚠️ SUNDAY is of the PAPACY and is therefore NoT Biblical ❗ The Roman Papacy has been declared to be the primary Antichrist power by the Protestant Reformers ‼️⁉️🤔
