Saw Skid Row in the late 80’s at my local Bar, that had a night club, “The North Burnaby Inn” a Suburb Of Vancouver BC. It was a small nightclub that held about 200 people. I never heard of these guys but they rocked the place. I was playing pool in the back section of the club and not really paying attention to the band while they were playing. In between sets the band came to the back area where I was playing pool and put money down on the pool table, which meant that they would play whoever won that game, ( which was me). So we decided to play partners , ( me and a partner and two of Skid Row as partners) I’m now playing pool with Sebastian and his lead guitarist. So obviously we banter back and forth, I said “What’s your bands name”, Skid Road ? and unbelieving Sebastian said snarkally,, “ Skid Row, and I said , “ Oh , sorry, man you guys are frickin awesome”, ( which lightened his attitude). While we were playing pool, countless hot women were all over these guys, asking them to sign their jeans along the crack of their ass, or sign their T shirts in the breast area ,( while wearing the T-shirt). I was like “Holy Crap” what the fuck is going on. We played best of two out of three games, so this went on for a while. Next thing you know the women are coming on to me as well because they thought I was associated with them, ( needless to say I had a great night). We never finished our little tournament, as they had to go on for another set. Figured out later just how big these guys were , and I don’t know how our little neighbourhood club managed to book them, and this club was in a pretty tough, sketchy area, and I didn’t see any security for the band. ( this club was located where two conflicting areas of the city met, East Vancouver, and Burnaby, and people from both areas would go there, and fights and brawls would happen almost every night). Anyway was an interesting experience, and that little club managed to attract quite a few other popular bands.

Wow. I usually like Sebastian Bach; I find him entertaining and fun to listen to, but he was harsh and pretty disrespectful here. I mean, eating an apple MID interview? What's that about?? Talk about being unprofessional. And it seemed like it didn't matter what Graham was gonna say, Bach was just bark at him about anything and everything. Again, I like the dude, and I'm not bad-mouthing him in any way, I'm just saying that this was not his finest moment... Love how Graham snapped some sense into him at the end there, reminding him he has a new home now. Seemed to calm him down.

I worked a music festival here in Minnesota for a few years. one of the years I was there, Bach was performing and I met him backstage and he definitely was a prick to talk to. If I had two words to explain by interaction with him I would use the words cold and clammy.

Man poor interviewer guy, the bands usually seem appreciative of these mythbuster style interviews, but Bach seems to almost think the interviewer was making the stuff up? What a knob.

I don't see why Sebastian Bach has the attitude that he has, but he's always had it. You can look at super old interviews and he was the same.

Like him or not he nailed it with "It did sound like Skid Roses, what else is it supposed to sound like, Foghat?" Not to mention It COMPLETELY sounded like Stone Temple Roses with Weiland, AND he's a bigger headache than Bach.

I've never seen Sebastian Bach act this way. I dunno if he's having a bad day, or what... but normally he is one of the absolute best interviews- humble, down to earth, funny... he seems really unhappy and out of sorts here. Odd.

I lived in Jersey at the time, and I know that Sebastian is not really from Jersey but we were all proud of him and the rest of Skid Row.

I once mistaken Sebastian Bach for Vince Neil from Motley Crue, and Vince Neil for Sebastian Bach rom Skid Row, I swear I did.

He makes Gene Simmons look pleasant.

When young he used to be really fun on videos, good mood and all, but on recent videos it seems like he is always grumpy, or moving around anxiously, biting his lips. Shame really, his music and attitude in the very distant past brought me a lot of good moments.

As for success, he ain't the biggest. But his voice is a killer. He can sing Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, and make it his own!

Can you imagine how exhausting this dude must have been to be around when Skid Row was relevant? Their tour with GnR must have been madness.

I once took an Uber pool with Sebastian and his 16 year old looking wife. The dude was high on shrooms and drunk as a motherfucker. Sebastian (as you can see from interviews) is loud as World War II when he normally talks. Imagine him when he's drunk and high /: worst uber ever lol.

I like him as a singer but to be honest I think he acted like a jerk in this interview. Just do the damn interview instead of complaining about not wanting to give your full name.

What happened to his speaking voice? 😯😲😮 OMG! I have just finished watching his interview from 1990 and now this?!

Mick Mars was the only person he named actually using a name completely different from his real name.

I take it no one's told Sebastian Bach he's nothing more than a glorified opening act nowadays

Like him or not, this guy is fucking history on Skid Row - S/T alone.

I'm an 80s kid and this is painful. It seems Bach never got out of the "dude, let's party!!!" phase. It's worn out and so he is.

I met Bach before we had atleast 15 min conversation he was super nice. Seriously. I don’t know what is going on here... He was probably pissed of before the interview or he was pissed at the fact they are interviewing him about wikipedia.

Regardless one of the best front men to ever walk the stage back then. He had an untouchable range and stage presence. He was sorta like a metal version of DLR !! But Dave is still cool.

He looks like Drew Barrymore in this interview :)

My friends and I once hung out with Spencer Sotelo from periphery at a bar in vegas. Chillest dude ever. No hostility at all. Just drank, talked music and was cool with random people joining the group to drink. these old washed up hostile dudes could learn a thing or two about humility.

While the beginning of the interview was a bit awkward, with the whole name thing, I think the rest of it was actually really hilarious. Hell, even the name thing was funny to me. He's got a boisterous personality here and constantly laughed, which I found made me laugh. He wasn't really hostile to him at all. On the matter of his behavior and personality elsewhere, I can't say, as I've never seen him or Skid Row live, and he's not someone I follow much at all. On the matter of his appearance--people age. They put on weight, their hair thins, falls out, they get wrinkles. Don't know if he's heavy into drugs or not, but even if he is/was, he doesn't appear to be a total train wreck like some other rock and metal guys I've seen--some even younger than him.

I appreciate SB's honesty here. .

Sebastian was soooo cranky

I absolutely love Sebastian Bach and his personality has always drawn me to him. Even before his music did. I love his music, but that's not my point. Sebastian must have been in a poor mood because he shot down a bunch of Gruhamed's questions. Good questions I must add. Still a superb interview, but obviously Sebastian isn't aware of LOUDWIRE because if he was he would've known they have the credibility. LOUDWIRE has interviewed the greats such as Ace Frehely, Zakk Wylde, Slash, Corey Taylor, Lita Ford and so..... you know..... ETC.... they've got everybody!
