There is obviously more to the story than we know. He is a regular customer but was upset about prices and got out of the car to exchange words with her about it. That doesn't make sense. I'm guessing she has given him discounts in the past but didn't this time? I don't know- the situation seems weird. Maybe he has been asking her out on a date and she finally told him to get lost? Men who go to these bikini coffee stands and pay horrible prices for coffee because they are lonely are pathetic.

Legally speaking, this isn't assault & her best case would be to not pursue punitive damages because what he did, physically, was a petty misdemeanor. The intent to harm is not there. The intent to insult is. Now, if she has recorded audio evidence of him verbally threatening her in a highly vague manner, she still probably doesn't have a case. Every customer service job I’ve had whether it was a salon, restaurant or retail. There’s always that one customer who is a constantly repeat, always complains about the prices, but never fails to keep coming back. I can’t understand the mentality of people who just enjoy making others miserable.

Sure, he could take her to small claims for the windshield, but he's going to get charged with assault and then probably sued in civil court for the assault.

He drove off after she smashed his windshield which shows that he knew he was in the wrong for throwing the drinks at her. Also you are given the total price of your drinks before they are made. He could have rejected the price and drove away. He needs a mental health check up.

You call the police. You don’t destroy someone’s vehicle with a hammer. Ice and liquid being thrown is not the same. I don’t defend him in any way shape or form. He probably should’ve been arrested, but that… That’s wild.

Inside Edition’s clips show her threatening to throw drinks at him when he complained. It DOES NOT justify him actually throwing his after that, but I do like that they give a little more context for the interaction.

Yes but to complete the story she only said that AFTER he had spent over 10 minutes arguing with her about the price -- blocking the window and preventing other customers from placing an order/making a purchase. You can bet some customers pulled up and left without making a purchase because of that. And why is he OUTSIDE of his car at a drive thru? He 100% brought it upon himself.

I just don’t get why they’re cutting parts of the clip that would let people have a better idea of how things went down.

When I was 15 girl I worked in Dunkin Donuts Drive Through. A grown man angrily threatened to throw the hot coffee in my face when he pulled up to the window if I didn't make it correctly. He didn't, but I am almost 40 and I still remember how scared I was.

If you watch the video again, he threw the drinks at a closed drive through window. Not a single drop got on her or the inside of the store. Her breaking his window was ridiculous and she’ll be paying for that windshield with her next check.

I saw something like this at my local Starbucks, where this guy was being rude and outright disrespectful to the barista. Then he reach over and tried to grab the young girl and she yelled at him luckily my nephew who's off duty police officer and an ex mama fighter told the I'm off duty police and ask the guy to step away from the the counter umm dumb full tried to throw a punch and well let's just say the guy ended up in jail assault with charges and other charges added to him. Damn after the pandemic, people started to lose it. What bothers me is that people who work in the hospitality and food industries are getting assaulted for no reason and sometimes getting put life-threatening situations. This country has lost their minds.

I like how the next guy is thinking “mmmmm do I need a coffee today? Orrrrr” lol

He has no right to be a 'repeat customer' while complaining about the price. He should have went the first time, noticed the price, and not even tried it, or he should have tried it once to see if it's good and then not gone back. That being said, I don't think I'd pay those prices either--at least not on a consistent basis, unless I became a millionaire.

The law is, if a person is retreating, you cannot respond to their actions, you may get charged for assault too.

Usual suspect should be charged with assault for throwing the cups. She defended herself.
