this build is really fun. almost every game it pays off. Without pressure and with knights right from the start of castle age is the shit and you can make rambazamba. Played like ten games almost without any unit in my base and usually I was always defending as hell as hre

Nah because he already made his keep. ZN, can t come near the keep.. and as soon as the Ram comes near, he can torch it with villagers. Also, note Demu was still in feudal, so researching Siege would delay his castle age time, and it will also take Zn to make the Ram. Also, the Ram will slow his push even more.

Aussies there was a vid on puppypaw and marianlord where you mention on where if your front falls and then your (front facing) economy falls, so i was just wondering if the obvious solution is to throw some outposts??

Dont agree with not inspiring the gold vills. The quicker they can gather 200 the quicker you can move them to wood if you are against english rush

Guess it depends on excess APM. Additionally, once you get a certain amount of food vills you don't have extra time to inspire the gold without losing inspiration on the food.

@@Yusuf-qq1rm action per minute. Its a little hard to compare players, because you have extremely useful actions and you have un-useful actions. IE. a player can change their scout 5 times a second for a minute and get an average APM (over that minute) of 300. But in general some players can just do more clicks/keyboard presses per minute. If you have excess APM you can increase the complexity of your strategy/tactics. If you have low APM you have to simplify your strategy and tatics. There is no point in trying a strategy that is very micro/macro intensive if you cant keep up with the actions.

I think Meinwork is only useful if youre going to castle age+ because the discounts for just the fuedal upgrades is underwhelming

I feel like against feudal cav or feudal archers, the Meinwerk mmakes sense in the feudal age. Especially to obtain map control with your spears and horseman to get a better grab on those precious relics in age 3. The loss is not that great, since doing an Aachen+maa gives a bigger economic bonus... for a more expansive unit to produce. And not always a better one than the +2 armor horseman. That said, the bonus on knights is really great, and a more assured controll on relics makes age 3 knights more viable.

I don't think Aussie can answer that question for you, its likely more players choice than any definitive answer. But if he did answer he would likely say he himself left AOE3 for AOE4. Though that decision could have be as much about 'burn out' of AOE3 than the enjoyment of AOE4

They're very different games. There's more of a direct comparison between 4 and 2 than 4 and 3, since 4 returned to various design choices of 2, like Stone as a resource and requiring vils to drop off. That being said, I currently play both 3 and 4, though more 3 than 4.

Where can I find the rest of this match?

At the start, I send 1-2 peasants to cut trees. Yes, sometimes it helps a lot to optimize the economy. Oh yes comrade!

I'm pretty new to AOE 4. There's nothing like looking at a build order to make you realize how much you suck at the game!

What Military combination would you suggsest after beeing castle and wanting to fight. I just started with Aoe4 and after the buildorder i am a bit lost in what fight strategie i should follow with the HRE. Thanks for the help. Love your videos

I play only hre since release (im not a pro in any means) and i would say go for infantry and mango or infantry light cav... you also could go for knights but they are better for raiding than fighting. Use the light cav against crossbows and mangos and there you go... you also not sure about the infantry useage / combo?

Also it can help when you established keeo fighting the enemy but go into imperial, go for spears, they can hold the enemy in most cases away from the base (bcause then you can gather up the gold, go quickly imp and then go again with gold troops) normaly i go for all infantry in a mix of 2 mma, 2 spears and 1 landsknecht, its a cheaper mix than mma and only landsknechts and all you need most of the time is the bigger mass and use spears as a cheap mietshield in the army. If you realize you need more artillery, use less landsknechts (for gold) or less pears (for wood) with that you can balance your resources well if you get used to it

​​@@lolcommander2447 mostly play HRE and once I hit castle I upgrade the MAA and make crossbows for a back line. Typically the other player can't get a mangonel out fast enough. Having archery ranges and barracks from feudal makes castle transition smoother

I'd say go into Meinwerk and pikes after to be honest. Otherwise, you'll never manage to get the map control for the relics

Broken HRE strat: Immediately put 3 vils on gold and 3 vils on food. Continue to train vils and rally them to food. Once you have 100 gold, immediately build a second prelate. The first prelate should stay on the vils collecting gold while the second prelate goes to the vils on food. With wood, ONLY build a house when necessary and nothing else. Once ready, age up in the Auchen with 4 vils pulled from food. When they are done building it, transition them to wood and continue rallying vils to food, and move 2 vils from food to gold. Once ready, build 2-3 more prelates and then hit castle at about the 5:30-7 minute mark. Grab relics and then rush for knights. Gg you win, only high rank people know how to effectively counter this so good luck!

So Lui doesn't move the sheep close to the gold is because that is to make sure that the sheep are in range of the aachen chapel. As the chapel is on the south the sheep are also there

The dude was talking pre-archen. normally you move the sheep to the corner and bounce the prelate between the gold and food villagers to inspire both groups. Once Archen is built you move the remaining sheep under its influence.

When gamers make instructional videos, they make beautiful tables and numbers and words on slides. They show these tables and it's easy for people to absorb the information. But in this video there are no tables, numbers and words :-( big sadness

Here is the only Buildorder Guide for HRE you need for season 5. In the Match Lobby, go to the civ droppdown menue to select your civ. Pick any other civ, except HRE.
