How did Thomas catch up to a fricking fighter jet engine on tracks

1:43 Toby stopped right in front of a cliff, he was also close to cliff. It takes a train a mile to stop and it takes 4 and a half seconds for a car to stop. Trains are not cars, so therefore Toby would fall off the cliff along with Henrietta.

While true, in both the model era and the cgi era, the engines are able to stop and go backward on the fly. This was probably due to the technology of the time, when they used models. Also, this takes place in a world where all trains, some cars, and most cranes and planes have faces. So sit down, shut up, and learn to reduce, reuse, and recycle. *this show has not aged well.*

Does anyone else feel like they are treating the engines as if they were toy trains instead of an actual train. It felt like that when Percy crashed into the back of Edward at 3:14. This scene feels very similar to the flying kipper accident with Henry, except in that collision the break van was obliterated.

From what I can tell, the Rebecca, Pacific engine, hit Percy from behind, some how derailed (despite being like a hundred tons heavier and she bumped him from behind) then Percy’s front wheel jumped up and magically moved to the other track. James decided not to brake and then hit Percy and all three of them slide a hundred meters until they blocked the level crossing.
