I think Henry wasn't based on anything, really, at least before he went to Crewe for his rebuild. Rumor has it, he was build off stolen schematics for a prototype.

He Was Based on a LNER J70 Tram

Hiro is my favorite Thomas the tank engine character I love ❤️ his Japanese accent. In one of the episodes he is in when Desile was bashing him and his Troublesome Trucks his Japanese accent showed the most when he said stop that in a ferm voice.

They all are so different than originals

Toby is based off of the LNER class J70 steam tram and Henry is based off of the LMS Stanier Black 5 in is new shape is old shape is based on a cross between a GNR Ivatt C1 Atlantic and a GNR Greeley A1 Pacific.

Yes as Henry's wheel configuration is 4-6-0 The A1 or A3 is a 4-6-2 (Pacific)

The LNER A3 could be accurate to Henry's old shape(similar to Gordon's). This is due to the fact that Henry's old shape is based off of an GNR C1 Atlantic and an LNER A1/A3. He also had a 4-6-2 wheel configuration.

They couldn’t as much as show Henry as a Black 5. Cmon. He looked like an A1 before the crash but even then he wasn’t an A3 and still not an A1

Stolen designs from L.N.E.R. The Black 5 in the show, obviously Henry, was believed to have been sold to Sir Toppham Hat The First as a mixed traffic engine, but his boiler was to small and he was sick a lot and not powerful enough so they put him on Welsh coal which burned better. After he collided with the trucks while pulling the Flying Kipper, he had his boiler made a bit bigger and had no problems after that.
