I don't really give a sht about skins or prices, i care about content in game, mm, cheaters etc. But it does suck from having all bp's completed since S01 and now i won't be buying anymore. Either way calling game dead over this is pretty big reach imo.

just do not play the game for the first half and see their plans crumble, so even if the whales get those pass the player drop count weill be a huge hit to the game as a whole and even the whales would experience longer quee timers. You might also just enjoy another game for the duration or touch grass, it's your choice but not playing the game will hit where it hurts.

Well time to uninstall. Literally the only thing keeping me on the game is the battle pass Edit: its not that deep y'all. Obviously I enjoy the gameplay to an extent, its just not enough to outweigh the current problems with the game. Unlocking skins and completing challenges is part of how I enjoy the game

Casual gamers had at least some little motivation to play purely because of battle pass and completing it to gain reactive skin. Now no one aside from whales is gonna pull out 40$ every season for battle pass. They'll make the playersbase shrink even more. No new players in Apex is already a huge deal, literally only sweats in my pub games, now it will be even worse.

they do realize that now everyone who doesn't want to pay 40 dollars per season will now not even have a slight incentive to play as they'll have nothing to grind for. With ranked being cheater filled, what's there to progress

the worst thing is that even after saving up a lot of apex coins you just CAN'T USE THEM anymore for any of this since it has to be explicitly irl currentcy. if we could cache out all the apex coins in the account right now and not going forward at least, but no it's all worthless now except for using for explicitly overpriced skins

The whole point of being able to continuously earn the the battle pass every season by grinding the season is so that the game keeps player retention. This is a terrible idea for the game no matter what type of player you are. No doubt this will further decrease the player base.

The game is getting review bombed on steam, it may not do much but definitely shows peoples dissatisfaction even though S22 is still 4ish weeks away.

This is BS. If they want to make things right while keeping this double battle pass idea, they've gotta make the premium one cost 950 Apex Coins or $9.99 (giving us the option). For the premium plus (the additional one), we have to pay $9.99 in case of having the premium battle pass, or $19.99 in case of wanting both while not having the premium one. They will benefit from this rather than losing the player count because most people who are still playing are like me, just grinding the battle pass every season, which makes me play with friends, etc...

I believe you'll get double the rewards with double the price you normally would with the old battle pass no matter if you get the free or premium version, say you play apex season 22 (if you're insane enough) and pay 20 dollars for the premium version for the season you'll get 2600 apex coins, 4800 crafting metals, 20 exotic shards, 40 apex packs including 6 thematic packs, 4 legendary character skins, 2 legendary weapon skins, and 2 reactive weapon skins within a total of 120 levels. The idea of the new battle pass is great in my opinion, but the only problem is you can't save apex coins anymore for the next battle pass, and I agree, it does piss everyone including me off, but how often do we actually use rare items in the battle pass? Im glad Respawn has taken the decision to cut back massively on rare items in the battle pass so the battle pass could be more worth it, but it's your money, you decide how you spend it on the depression simulator that is Apex Legends

I’ve been defending the apex bp for years because of the fact that you could buy it once and never have to pay for another again as long as you played, but once again, gaming companies have shot their players in the back and the only ones they hurt are themselves

The only reason to even think about getting the new battlepass is if you want to obtain shards. Shards themselves cost like 10 bucks for 10 so you can think of it like buying those and getting everything else for free in the pass. But i dont see my self wanting really any of those because i dont even have a katar to upgrade. Pretty scummy, dont really like this new way the pass is going.

I just play untill i m done with the battlepass and move to any other game but now i guess thats it for me, no reason to keep playing on weekdays.

So now i can't even keep my 950 apex anymore and the premium isn't as good..why did i even buy the battle pass man...😢

Upwards of 40 for those who buy the premium is such a spit in the face to the player base. This year was a great year for gaming, with games like palworld and that other game flipping game monetization on its head, and EA is simply doubling down for hardly any additional content.

The absolute worst thing about battle passes PERIOD is, I have to pay real money for the opportunity to then UNLOCK the items…. Or , as an alternative. Pay even more… i will never pay for another cosmetic ever again.

I finally convinced myself that I play the game enough to justify spending 10 bucks on the battle pass. A big selling point was the fact that I get it for the next seasons as well. 3 days later this is announced. Crying myself to sleep tonight. No but for real, people have wanted a change to the battle pass for a while, I don't think this is what they meant.

This is so bad. I've been playing like 2 years, I have a few heirlooms and a few skins. I hope it's a one and done thing with all the negative feedback but they probably won't do that. Is it time to uninstall?

If you are playing a game purely for the battlepass you need to takw a step back

I do love on this world how we prioritise money over survival or actually keeping anything great and for cosmetics man you must have a very small small something to worry about something that has no priority in your game and for a skin for a character that you don't get to see because it's first person

When you drop in you see it, and when you do finishes, you see them. I understand the pros just shoot people to finish them off, but I consider that a waste of ammo. Sure, I may die in the middle of an animation, but not only do I get to see that new badass (to me) skin I spent good money on, but there is something so satisfying about watching Ash "decapitate" Horizon... Of all the Legends that catch hate, I hear more people complain about Horizon than any other. And I have my own complaints. So yeah, I will risk dying just to decapitate a side-stepping, tac spewing, batt popping legend that seems to have a smaller hitbox than even Lifeline. And also, I just absolutley love snaring Octanes that just stimmed, dropping them, and finishing them off too. But again. That's me.

Well I guess I’m never getting the battle pass again

I know this has been said countless times, but I legit think this may be whatn kills apex. Battlepasses have been insurance to make sure players don't leave. It being repurchaseable for free made it perfect as it would guilt players into playing, at least till the collection event. But this makes it easier to quit since you'll be reminded every 3 months if this game is worth your cash. I haven't played since loba's season so idk if the grind for battle passes are better but compared to what I play now, apex would usually take me the full season to grind. I can get to tier 100 in destiny 2 (love it or hate it) in a two weeks give or take.

I honestly don’t see the point of this change I lowkey just buy the whole battle pass or if I’m feeling like it I’ll grind it but tf is the point of having two 💀

Also Battle pass was supremely mid. Think I will play that first split and then ignore the second half when August comes. Unpopular opinion but I think this is actually a really good change because forever now people have been complaining that the rewards in the BP have not been worth it so by them adding this your now getting more rewards every season which people have been begging for and in the end you don't have to purchase it this new BP still has a free part so if you dont like it don't buy it but honestly even the 20 dollar version as long as you get to level 60 your getting well worth 20 bucks worth of cosmetics and packs and Apex Coins and by getting 2 of these every season their really ramping up the rewards you get per season so honestly in my opinion this is a W by EA
