Okay: I am totally addicted. This episode was brilliant.
Love these shows. Love the Yiddish too most of which I can understand via my Dutch and German (lived there for 12 years working as a chiropractor).

Most of the world (rightly) considers it genital mutilation. It's a barbaric practice and our people should've stopped it centuries ago!
hahaha.... enjoying the episodes so much👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I realised in this episode that i can understand the lady's Yiddish (in the last scenes with the priest & Jamie) much more. I think its because it sounds similar (to me i.e) to Hochdeutsche which i'm familiar with. Love that i could understand 🤗 Thank you Jamie & Eli for the very funny & educative stories 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💚💚💚 Such fun 👏🏼

I just thought of something, having viewed this for the hundredth time, this time in 2022: Eliezer's friends call him "Laser"; if he goes to work for the Canadian Space Agency, would he then be called "Space Laser"??

Laughed aloud more than once -- and I don't even know you! Nicely done!
"Chaimie" has the best eyes -- worth listening to his spiels just look at them animate what he's saying (also because I sympathize with his secularism).
The Producers failed to answer the question that ALL the male viewers wanted to know: NU, did Lazer (Eliezer) get shtupped???

Yeah...she was THAT hot!
there is never a dumb question, i don't know, when mayim did her 23and me, it came back as 95 or more percentage jewish,, if and when i do my dna test i don't expect it to come back and say im 95% baptist, my qauestion is jewish a race, is she white, if so how come it did't say white. im so befuddled. i would like to know a little about jewish ppl
This makes me a little sad. Just the conversation about "making out with an Asian girl" that quickly turns into chat about finding a nice Jewish girl to settle down with. There've been a couple of times I have felt used or less-than because of thinking like this. A man would pursue me (knowing that I don't date casually, I date to find a spouse) and he would only later reveal that he never intended to consider me for a partner because I wasn't born Jewish/Muslim/etc. One man's family made it very clear to me that they wouldn't even embrace a converted daughter-in-law. It's perfectly valid to want a spouse who shares your religion, but it's unkind to treat others like they're disposable. Maybe I just don't get it because I come from a mixed marriage and live in a diverse city, so the idea of interracial/interfaith/converting for marriage is something I'm open to by default. Anyway, sorry for the unsolicited opinion. It's a good show. Just got bummed a little. EDIT: haha I hadn't gotten to the part where the character defends the Indian convert! That's so awesome
