Thank you Graham for sharing this scenery and some sensitive things from your life. My wife and I discovered Heartland a little over a year ago. We have seen every episode through season 13 several times and still watch the reruns together. I can say I have never been drawn into a show like this, and I have found Ty to be the most compelling character on screen I have ever seen. I have found the modeling of his love for Amy inspirational in my own marriage of 30 plus years. In the "we need a break" scene from season 8 Ty told Amy "sometimes we hang on to something and before we know it we've lost it." I think the opposite can also be true. Sometimes we can go searching for purpose, identity, impact, and opportunities while all the time those things can be found where we are, doing what we do well. You had a tremendous impact as an incredibly talented actor which you did so well on a show like Heartland.

Graham, I pulled away last Fall into stillness which included your new network and that community. I have captured incredible stillness and go then when I think I just can’t go on. My word for 2023 is “Honor” and I heard your message at the end of the podcast. I am honoring myself and in that discovery process, not looking to others for validation of value, but to myself. You receive the smallest of nuances in the quiet, in the still. Thank you for sharing your journey, it has made an incredible difference in my life. I am also in my creative cave, we give ourselves the greatest gift. Peace dear one, keep moving forward. See u there.❤️

I read this somewhere not sure where or what version of the Bible that they were using but it greatly encouraged me and wanted to share with anyone who it might encourage to take that next step forward Psalms 119:105 says “I don’t have to know the entire path just the next step.” I believe if we in faith take that next step He will go with us. My magic painting would be a beach at sunrise with the brilliant colors of yellow, orange and red. There would be the silhouette of many people standing with outstretched arms. Also, thank you for sharing about the abuse you experienced as a teen, I'm sure it ministered to many, especially how you overcame the struggle with Suicide. A very dear friend of mine committed Suicide and it was so heartbreaking for all of us (especially her teen children at the time) again thank you for opening up to help others. May God continue to bless you and give you wisdom and guidance as you seek Him and follow Him. Looking forward to the next season of the podcast. Enjoy your time of rest! 🙏🏻✝️💛🤍

Childhood or youth abuse is like a powerful short circuiting of that person's core wiring. It causes unseen, covered over, and more obvious effects -- different in each person. That wiring cannot be completely restored, but it can be rewired with overlayed circuitry. Guilt is crippling, even if feelings of guilt are in no way justified. While moving forward, memories of such are left behind, not to be dragged along into our future. But the rewiring comes from overlaying new layers of happier experiences, friends, and places. Feelings of guilt can be sorted with logic and expression and exploration -- and can be almost completely left behind newly seen horizons. Easy to say... Your story explains a lot. We loved Ty as a friend and brother. It's hard to keep Ty and Graham separate, but one is a script and an actor, the other a real 3D human. We pretty much like Graham, too. Tempus venit; honorifica differential; ut relinquatis eam post te. And peace.

Graham your a breath of fresh air. You have been my go to media platform for the past three years. You have so much wisdom and you have passed that on and helped me so much. Your guests have been so awesome. For so many years we have all been living in such a way living above our means and so tied to media that we have lost the ability to live freely. Getting back to nature and having God in our hearts so many people have let the bad vibrations take over. And still we see the act especially from the celebs who bring these things on to kids. But we are all much more awake now to what’s been going on. So the media created all this and it will be there demise. Your right we should all unplug from the internet and start to live real lives with real people. This was a very moving podcast tonight with your story that moves me to tears. We have all these stories hidden may not be the same but they are all just as important. Thank goodness you have great parents and support around you at that time. And your strong will to keep going. Even at our worst times there is always hope God sees to that. Well sorry I do go on a bit as you know ha ha I just want to take this opportunity to say thank you for being you and sharing with us this is not the end of the podcast it’s just the beginning. Maybe when all this mandate stuff goes away I will make the trip to Canada never been I have family over there but as I have not been 💉 and have to make sure flying I am not detained for that reason one day hope to meet you and kerry and amber that would make my day. God bless you Graham and enjoy the break we all deserve to have some peace. Stay safe love too your family. Lori in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thank you for sharing your personal experiences and journey. I was sexual abused the summer before college and my 1st semester. I then married a man that abused me in different ways. I was suicidal at the end of my marriage and I knew I just wanted to end that pain. I'm so thankful that I decided to live so I could see the many blessings and seeing my nieces grow into beautiful ladies. My prayers were that God would give me opportunities to help others that were going through the same things that I had/was experiencing at that time. Time has Come has hit home and will now be my sentence starter. The time has come that I take the 1st step to loving myself, feeling worthy, and stepping into God's amazing grace, love, and peace. Thank you again for your vulnerability and sharing your journey. I know it will help others.

In the first season of THC podcasts, I always looked forward to the magic painting question because it really encapsulated what was most valuable in life to each guest. It's so different for everyone. I've shared mine before, and it has evolved a bit over time, but the painting is an intense sunset being reflected in water. The feeling is fulfillment, like how you feel when you are able to help someone in a meaningful way and at the end of the day (thus the sunset) your heart is full, content and satisfied that you did what you were called to do that day. So many favorite moments for me. Donny Mac's whole episode and the obvious friendship you share; same with Kerry, Amber, Jessica and Cindy. Mr. Brian Peckford reciting Wordsworth was an awesome moment for me. I feel I learned something about each of your guests and about you in all the episodes. The expansion to video and added creativity with KJ on board continues to take it next level. Can't wait to see what comes in Season 2! Congratulations, Graham. You've definitely found your voice.

Hey Graham, this is the second time that I have listened to this podcast of yours. Thank you for sharing the things that have happened in your life that can be used to help someone else. From the first time I saw you on heartland to three years ago, I knew you were someone special. I don’t know how I knew that except the spirit of God tells you things like that. As an 88 year old, grandmother and great grandmother. I would like to just give you a big hug And tell you what an inspiration you are to so many people. Your story can be used to help so many people and I know when your heart that’s what you wanna do. God bless you Graham go with God. And say hi to Kerry for me I love him too.❤️❤️😁

I am so proud of your testimony of recovering from your dark past and allowing it to be public. This is so needed to help others heal and not be ashamed, especially men. Mental illness needs to be addressed and respected in our world. Hopefully we can create more help spiritually to help those in need. This will help create peace and non-violence. Thank you for your healing testimony. God bless and I send you Light.

I really enjoyed this. Right now, I feel like I'm at a crossroads, again trying to discover who I am. So much has changed. At one time, my magic painting would've been all about perseverence because I was determined to rise but now, all I want is the joy of peaceful excitement which seems so infrequent right now. I've always lived in the PA country but if I could, I'd go deeper into it and really become grounded in connecting with this playland that God created for us to explore and enjoy. One day. Not sure when that is but that's what I'll be striving towards.

Dear Graham. I can’t tell you how timely this episode has been. I’ve recently discovered your podcasts, and I’ve enjoyed every single one. I have a young friend who is struggling with mental health, and contemplating suicide. To hear your story of pain and recovery is amazing, and so full of hope. I’m sharing this episode with my friend, and I hope it helps her in some small way to see that there is hope. Thank you so much for everything you’re doing to make our world a better place.

So glad you shared some of the painful things and feel blessed you chose not to end it as the things you have done creatively has blessed me at a time in my life where I needed an outlet to get away from the stresses of divorce and taking care of elderly people and just life in general. Your role in Heartland and the relaxation and joy I felt watching every episode gave me the release to get away and have time to do what I wanted to do. So thank you for being a part of the show as your character and relationship with other characters on the show entertained and mesmerized and even I as a woman could relate to the abuse your character went thru as a child and now in your real life too. I pray your sharing and life now and choices you make will be healing in every way. So thankful for your loving real life family and the l9ve you found on Heartland from great friends and cast members. God led you to that opportunity, and I know you feel grateful. Thanks for sharing your life with all of us. We miss you on Heartland but rejoice with you that you are choosing to care for yourself and others. I also pray you know Christ as your Saviour and will know God in a personal real way. He can heal our hearts and souls and refresh and renew us each day and make each day a growing and worthwhile experience worth living to serve him and others while caring for ourselves too. I look forward to listening to future podcasts.

You and Kerry are quite the team! I have enjoyed hearing you grow and welcome so many different ideas from the folks you interviewed. I love the song Home from Donny Mac! Such a message! Thank you for sharing it! Thank you for sharing your heart and life with us... so thankful you are still here to share your experiences with each of us. God the Father is my higher power and He would be in my magic painting... following His direction is what my heart's desire is for my life. Our last conversations with people and then we hear that they have passed away has been on my mind lately. Was it meaningful or just casual and empty. Did I encourage or help them in some way to have a better day? Again... thank you 😊❤️🤠

I have been so moved by this recap! Thank you for your authenticity and courage to pull that out from others. I am finding that part of our purpose comes through overcoming the things in our lives that almost destroyed us.... I know I was led to watch Heartland and it helped me deal with huge wounds of abandonment throughout my life. I felt prompted to find your podcast as well and I'm truly blessed through how it has intersected the timeline of my journey as I ask myself what Time Has Come and what I may step into... I'm excited for season 2 on the road! I love an adventure! ❤️🙌🏼
