Jayson and Anton headed up to one of the best stretches of coastline in Australia for targeting monster tailor (bluefish). Although they found a heap of smaller fish up to 60cm, Jayson managed to land a high 70s-80cm brute from the surf. In addition, the boys managed some cool bycatch in the form of surf wrasse and blue salmon. Stand-out lures for the trip included Shimano Coltsniper stickbaits and Zipbaits Monsoon Breaker 130.

We were using 60lb varivas ocean record for this area. It has enough abrasion resistance for the reef but also casts well through the guides

Adrenalin fish-o rock spike boots. Awesome for everything from rock fishing to reef walking and even wading the flats

User error there, a little too much high stick - no rod is really designed to cope with that treatment 😅

You won’t be disappointed with a Dreamcast, I’ve been using one a few years and bought another new one as a spare to replace it if I ever damage it.

Yeah, I've been doing heaps of research. I just can't decide now if I'm going for the dreamcast or the new aurora! Virtually the same rod, but has me guessing. I think it will be a dreacast though. What do you pair it with?

@reichardification Stradic FM 3000-5000 or even Twinpower XD in the same size range would be perfect (size would depend on rod and personal preference). It’s worth having a feel of the rod and reel options in person, so please feel free to pop in store

Hello Sir, can you tell me which surf rod the best catching tailor on the beach 1-/ 5-9kg length 365cm .2/ - 7-12kg . 3/ 8-15kg +all the rod are the same length , with Daiwa 24 Certate Lt 5000D-Xh .Please let me know . Thank you for your time Sir .
