I have been to *many* countries where hair is normal. Medically, it holds scent, so that is the deciding factor. Personally, I'm fine either way - I'm very used to it ... I *do* know that - if society stared shaving heads (already started 35 years ago with black men, then all men, now it's "normal") - in 30 years, people would be _used_ to bald women, and hair would be considered "gross". People [collectively] are robots - they follow and do what society tells them. In closing, Letterman himself now has a long "Santa" beard. So, how is *that* not "gross", yet a small amount under arms *is* ? Again, it's what we are "used to". Don't be a "robot", People. 🙂

Dave kept it so, in his masterly fashion. This one could have gone off the rails very quickly had Dave not figured out how to keep it light and moving along. He was flying by the seat of his pants in this one. She's a bit of a loopy one.

Very controlled. And the fact he could make fun of her, and she went along with it was the key to it going so well.

the movie “Blaze” from 1989 at 4:05 - Lolita Davidovich ended up getting the part that she wanted. (credit @Karen Stepko, below) I met Blaze Starr in the early 1970s. She owned a strip club in Baltimore, the Two O'Clock Club, I think. She was stunningly beautiful, and of course, stacked (voluptuous). Her book had just been published. It is ironic that both Sean and Lolita were not voluptuous. Lolita was pretty enough but I didn't watch it that closely to see if I saw any Blaze in her performance, not that I knew Blaze hardly at all. She was adored in Baltimore. Blaze is as close to a superwoman as one can get. One lifetime is too short for such a gorgeous woman.

That's it exactly. The movie about Louisiana governor Earl K. Long (Paul Newman) and his stripper girlfriend around 1960. I was a deputy sheriff then in the 1980s and 90s in Louisiana and when they came to the area to film that movie I got to watch him do quite a bit of the filming of most of the parts that take place up in North Louisiana around Winnfield, La. Davidovich was good in the movie but now that I know that Sean Young was considered, makes me wonder if she might not have been a better choice. At any rate in 88 or 89 I'd heard of Sean Young but I'd never heard of Davidovich before they cast her in that movie.

"Public Enemies" was filmed in Oshkosh, Wisconsin approximately 15 years ago. They used local officers/deputies as extras in the film. An interesting fact is, the film required the extras to be 5'9" and under so Depp wouldn't seem small in stature.

The movie she's referring to is called BLAZE in 1989, and it's a true story about a relationship between a New Orleans stripper and then Louisiana governor Earl K. Long circa 1960. Paul Newman played role of the governor, Lolita Davidovich got the role of the stripper. It's good movie. Lolita did good, but Sean Young might have been better. She's been a favorite of mine since STRIPES. Just got a killer smile.

@@lorddiosliving Wasn't too bad to a then 28 yr old either! I dunno, Sophie coming out of the pool and opening her bikini top? Might still be the better. They took a vote from VHS rental places about how many copies of Fast Times @ Ridgemont High had to be replaced for excessive rewinding during that pool scene.😉 Being from Louisiana myself and knowing a lot of the history of that time even though they stretched some events a pretty good bit I found it quite entertaining. Paul Newman did great as the wheeling n desling governor and Davidovich as Blaze wasn't half bad as the young stripper herself. For several years after the movie released I saw one of the state police cars they used in the movie sitting in someone's front yard in Lafayette, La. They recreated his motorcade pretty well too. They had the right Cadillac limousine and he never went anywhere that he wasn't escorted by six state troopers on motorcycles. There are photos of the time depicting it.

@@ntvypr4820 yeah this one topped out better than basic instincts with Sharon stone ..lolita had a bit more glamour .the 80ies didn't have that much obviously hot topless steamy scenes so the few we got it was those ...the real life blaze star was a more bodily voluptuous woman obviously...but I fell in love with that character of the movie
