That's right Sean , they don't make em like Carl anymore . He was truly one of the greats . You got me by about 5 years , but I remember those days when film wasn't digital and the screens were called silver . Having Carl in your corner must have been like having God in your corner. You're a goddess and hollywood royalty , so don't ever doubt yourself because you know the truth.

Woah is this actually Sean Young's personal channel? I fell in love with your doppelganger (local gal not an actress) so seeing you is hard but also can't look away. You remind me of her in more ways than just physical appearance. Can only imagine how strange life must've been for you as a beautiful woman who everybody struggled to be themselves around for fear that "the beauty" would leave them. Probably gave you too much power at a young age to wield wisely. Unable to be themselves around you, their only defense was to make you feel like the crazy one.

Thanks Sean, that was so refreshing and beautiful, we were both so touched when Carl spoke about Estelle, tears.... As we age we start contemplating our mortality, we realize life is fleeting, we can try to hold on tight, but eventually, the rope runs out. My husband and I both adore you Sean, always be you, life is too short for regrets and trying to be what people want you to be. We are the same age, so perhaps you spent years, as I have, trying to please others. Finally, at the end of the path, one realizes the only person you owe anything to are your loved ones, the only thing that matters is your path and the decisions you made (and how you treated others). Hugs!

We can learn from programs like this to appreciate every moment of our life. If Sean Young were told how lucky, incredibly lucky she is when she was in her 20's, then her life problems would have been easier to live with and almost appreciate that she was even able to have these problems, to be there, where so many actresses dream about. We need someone to tell us we are good, clever and wonderful. It makes us even better. Wonder, what would Sean Young do differently if she were able to go back to those days where she was a young actress? ❤🤗

I would have fired my mother as my "manager" and perhaps been able to trust my own instincts sooner. I had a toxic mom which I couldn't recognize until the damage had been done. However, extremely glad to be the person I am today and very appreciative of every improvement I've been able to make to myself. Very grateful to those I love. I was blessed then and I am blessed today.

@@maryyoung1319 oh, that's an important advice to all young people, to learn to stand on their own feet. I'm sorry about your toxic mother, I completely understand it. My mum told me that I'm nobody and always will be a nobody, that I'm ugly and need to wear makeup and have a short neck, therefore need to wear a "V" neck tops. When I told her I'm getting married, she said she is embarrassed to have a daughter like me, marrying such a clever scientist. She said, she'll never meet my father in law as she's so ashamed of me. We were very happily married for 40 years, till his death three years ago. I grew stronger despite my toxic mother, who was simply jealous of every job I had and undermined the credibility of me even having job like that. Toxic mothers love their children in a possessive way. Mothers must remember that their children lives belong to the children themselves. That's why my four children have such different lives. I do let them to feel free and always told them the most wonderful things about themselves. You must be the best mum ever and your advice must be incredibly appreciated by them. You have so many stories to tell them, stories no one else knows. I have so many stories about my crazy life, and my children sometimes question if that all had really happened to their mum. Because I was told I was so useless and I ugly, I thought of myself as super clever and got jobs above my ability, I thought, only to discover I was able to do them. We can all learn from your life which had played often in public, but only you know the truth. I feel incredibly happy for your very successful family life and career that films should be made about. You were so strong minded and you knew your own worth, which is the most important thing ever. You were so young, yet so strong headed . I'm so shattered by the death of my "best husband in the whole world " as I used to say and I'm trying to take some scary steps on my own. It very difficult but only because I don't do much, I've come across your films, videos and finally, I posted a message on your channel. It was amazingly kind of you to reply, as it has given me strength to try to overcome my problems. You're such a beautiful person, in every way. It's so great to see you completely flourishing, like you're having it all again. I sometimes think " when I'm young again " and I catch myself realising what an absurd thing that is, but maybe not so absurd after all. ❤️🤗💐

I'm not sure it was bad "luck" as much as bad judgement on my part. I had no idea the viciousness of certain players in the Entertainment business when I began my career so long ago. Being cancelled by bitchy Hollywood bastards isn't the worst thing to have happened to me. I learned a great deal along the way and have remained a good soul in the process. I wouldn't have wanted ongoing success if it meant losing my kind heart. My life is wonderful. I'm a very lucky soul and being an actress never defined who I was as a person. Perfection is earned and ongoing.

@@maryyoung1319 Lovely to hear from you, Sean... And absolutely. Plus, even the notion that you're career went "downhill" or the notion that it was plagued with craziness is a bit of a construct. I mean, there may have been some unrealized potential but you were in a few massive films and you were brilliant in them. That's pretty good... I mean, who are we comparing you to? The most successful actresses in history? And, yeah, that's awesome that you weren't defined by your acting career. Makes you even cooler. Again, nice to hear from you...

Just stumbled across this channel today. Enjoying it very much. FWIW, I always thought you got a very raw deal with your career. A lot of that can be attributed to the wonderful entertainment news media, who follow the same cycle of "discover, saturate, and then tear down".Saw it happen to a lot of actors over the years, and particularly the female ones. Oh, well, there are a lot of movies for the 80s that I like, and, coincidentally, you are in a lot of them!

Usually when I paint or draw, I play some music or I play some interviews with actors, so that I can hear and learn something from their experience , either in the field of acting or in life, so tonight I thought I could play some old interviews of Jack Palance to see what was he like. After couple of them, you came out as a suggestion. Naturally I knew you from almost all of your movies (just to say here, that I am an actor as well, so I watch movies also from that perspective), but I never really knew anything about you. I saw first some David Letterman interviews, and honestly I thought at first impression that you were nuts, but only for a few moments, until I saw that actually you have a great sense of humor, and because more and more I realized that you are genuinely the most honest and nicest person in Hollywood and probably in the world, and I've seen all your interviews now, including this one, which is so wonderful, and even the one with the Catwoman, which was so cool to do at that time. I also soon realized that you were among the first women who stood up for them self, and I admire you for that so much. I think that you are wonderful and very smart person, a very talented actress, and a beautiful human being. Of course I don't really know you, but somehow you give that impression, and I don't think I am wrong. So I just wanted to say, that today you inspired me, as an actress, artist, and again as a wonderful and smart woman, a great person and a human being. It is a shame that you didn't get a part in Batman, but then again as the saying goes "Who knows why is it good for". I know that I am only one of the 7,8 billion people in the world, but it sure pays of when you inspire even one person, and I'm sure that you inspire a lot, lot more then one, with your example how to stand for what you believe. Thank you!

MK so did I all those years ago when it was first released on video. I wanted a girlfriend that looked just like Sean.

I loved “The 2000-year-old Man” sketches Carl did with Mel Brooks in the ‘60s. In fact I love everything he ever did.

There's so much chaotic but at the same time wonderful energy between the two of you here in this interview, Sean. For a while I thought either of you could be a Gemini, but I googled Carl and you and nope lol... Well, nevermind... 😉😁 Best wishes from Poland, I hope you're doing good whatever you're up to these days. 😎😎

I loved the fact that Sean came back to do the voice over for her character in the Blade Runner video game way back in 1997. Most actors at the time wouldn't even have considered doing something like that, but it made the game for me to have another scene with Rachel that wouldn't have existed if it wasn't for the game.
