People keep saying Iz was 'scared' I don't think these key board warrior's are in a position to say that but what is true is Strickland seems very loose in a good way. Relaxed but focused, alot of other fighters just seem to care so much.

Not scared shitless, but his demeanour is of someone that doesn't wanna be in there, has weighed the risks and is backing off. He has a very "safe" style of going backwards and and only countering for a reason. kind of surprising that both of them stood up the entire time and never even got close enough to grapple, let alone take it to the ground. Almost made me wonder if this was some new stand up fight format the UFC came out with.

A good game plan by Sean. Neutralize the kicks, remain calm and disciplined, throw front kicks, don't be reactive to izzy's faints, block izzy punches with good defense, make Izzy pay when he get ambitious.

Where is all the haters of grapplers in MMA, when the grappler even went striking and overpowered the striker in his own game? I guess, those people only comes out, when their man win. Great fight of Strickland, and boy, that man has some evasive and defensive skills! Almost not a single dangerous punch or kick coming to his head or body and he on top looked so relaxed all the fight through. Often times when the changing of the belts happens is the exact time when one fighter is getting that much better and the other fighter former champ is losing just a step for the other guy to succeed - it’s the exact formulas Izzy is dropping a step ( at least in this fight even tho he lost did amazing recovering from fjsf initial flurry when dickland. I mean Strickland caught him

4:42 good example of what happens when you try to beat a straight with a hook. Izzy see's it and tries to beat Sean to the punch with a counter left hook right after Sean's jab but he's not fast enough. Sean threw first and threw the punch which reached the target faster. Dangerous to do with your back against the cage and Izzy was moving to his left, towards Sean's right hand.

I wanted Israel to win in this fight but I don't think he's going to have an easy fight with Driscus 😮😮😮

You don't see vicious power so you don't respect it. maybe take a look at stricklands past Fights and how good technically the guy really is instead of writing him off because he isn't a ko artist. izzy had to react to the constant pressure and jab of strickland its not rocket science. izzy never got comfortable because sean was in his face walking him down the whole time. Izzy does good against everyone else because they will give him space other than jan who took him down and beat his ass. izzy only Fought brawlers his whole mma career. his impressive wins were against whitaker and potan thats it.
