Sean Lock Live (Early Performance circa 1992 - contains mucky words))

I have this on an old video tape. It still makes me laugh. It was filmed at The Town & Country Club around 1992. I do not hold the copyright and shall not be profiteering from this upload. No other copy seems to be on You Tube. If you know differently, let me know.
NOTE: This is a very early clip of Sean and this type of whimsical comedy was new. Harry Hill received the same crowd reaction when he appeared in another episode despite having a brilliant act. This video is for fans so keep any disparaging comments to yourself.

When you watch a comedian, laughter of the audience doesn’t always govern wether a comedian is good or not. Remember that in the early days Sean would have to play to many crowds to get established. Many of the crowds for early comedians tend not to be in to their comedy until they’re established and have a following, that’s why this set WOULD be widely and fondly received by those that admire his style of comedy today.

People don't get it, at this point Sean was mostly surrounded by his peers. Grassroots comedy clubs are a tough ordeal, you don't get a huge crowd and not a lot of random people; often crowds are built up of other comedian's friends and families as well as your own. Combine that with being young and inexperienced it creates a tough atmosphere. Completely different to when you've had 30 years to hone your craft and have overcome all the personal challenges you encounter as you grow older.
