    This made me think about another movie. "He's Just Not That Into You". One of the first lines in that movie is “We are all programmed to believe that if a guy acts like a total jerk that means he likes you.” I can so relate to that. I was always told that when I was a kid. "He said/did that because he likes you." I think that it sticks in girls brains that that is how it's suppose to be.

    I think the key is to find a happy medium between those two extremes. Don’t go so over the top with the niceties that it doesn’t seem genuine and doesn’t make you feel like a person, rather you are idolizing them, but also don’t be the person that is an ass and couldn’t care less. I would rather try to be someone that still has my own stuff and friends i want to talk to but also pursue a person I want in a respectful way and still be friendly and kind. I think that’s probably the key to success.

    That's what he is saying. 'I don't wanna pretend like I don't like you when I have fallen for you'. People say they want real and not be treated like gold, but why settle for less? Or is it the underlying fear that if s/he treats me like gold, is it not possible that he treats every other guy or girl like gold! But that's on oneself. Not the one expressing his love! The feeling of being in love seems out of this world, so why make it seem like everyday plain and boring.

  • @sahilchaudhary2321

    @sahilchaudhary2321

    3 жыл бұрын

    And when talking about 'naturally', hiding that one is in love is more unnatural. Of course you can repeal one's affection for you, but to label as one's way of expressing their love/ affection not natural seems judgmental. And 'the person going about their own business being attractive' is kind of lame. Giving a chance to someone who seems unbothered about you and ignoring the efforts of someone giving their best seems more unnatural. It's like not appreciating what was given to you on plate. You know like how the value of breath comes to notice when you are at the end of life.

    @@sahilchaudhary2321 I think this is a very exaggerated way of thinking, I agree that a person should value another persons compliments and that their efforts shouldn't go unnoticed, but I personally would prefer someone that greets me in a appropriate way first and builds that rapport with me, it's not like the 11th guy treated the girl like trash and a majority of women don't want to be treated like trash, but for me personally I would want to have a normal conversation with a guy first and get the chance to know each other and have a reasonable conversation, then by the end of the night if we're on the same page then I would really appreciate his compliments and his efforts to win me over, but it doesn't have the same effect if that's the first thing that a guy does to a girl, but also I would hope that the 11th guy is genuine and not just playing "hard to get"

    @@-lee-2867 I don't even remember what point I was trying to prove. The guy with the original comment kinda make sense. And my comment also kinda make sense. And your comment also kinda make sense. I was probably tiggered by his labeling as 'desperate, creepy and stalkerish'. And me being tiggered too make sense, as love is something that you cannot force. You can fall for someone on the process of knowing them, or you can fall in love at first sight. And though the latter one is probably infatuation/ attraction(?), but if you have fallen for someone at first sight, then to express ones feelings to be labeled as desperate probably doesn't fit right with me. Coz if we go by the original commentators statement, though he has fallen for a girl, he should hide his feelings, and act like he is trying to get to know her and make his way to a romantic relationship, but that is more like deceiving someone to fall for you. Being straight forward about his feelings seems more right, and though chances are he will be rejected, but at least he didn't lie to her or to himself.

    I have noticed that most women do seem to be that way. I don't really understand it. But I suppose I could try to analyze it. 1. Part of it might be that alure of wanting something unattainable. The woman can easily hook up with any one of the ten original guys, but the eleventh man is uninterested in her and therefore rare and hard to get. 2. Some women want a flawed guy because they want the challenge to "fix" him. ...Which is incredibly stupid. People don't change unless they themselves want to. 3. The eleventh man could just be the only guy that isn't fawning over the girl like some kind of pathetic sycophant. Everyone wants to be treated nicely, but being put on a metaphorical pedestal can be overwhelming.

Also, saying generic and over the top compliments is just cheap. Claiming "you are the most perfect creatute i'v ever met" to a person you barely know is deeply fake, red flag fake. You guys are being too deep about this. It's as simple as people want what they can't have. It's alluring. It isn't about personal space, being cramped, the 11th guy is more real, blah blah. People just want what they can't have. He's more alluring because he doesn't care, he's harder to get, there's more reward if you get him than one of the easy other 10 guys you could get just by saying yes. That's all it is. It works the other way around too. Guys don't want easy girls either, the hard to get ones are more alluring. It's primal, almost like winning something when you get them.

    There’s room for error and it is as so. Our understanding of each other is messed up. I grew up with a very manipulative father, one that was abusive to women and what I learned from him is to recognize the calm before the storm. That’s what the nice guy brings the calm before the storm. It feels unreal to have someone put you on a pedestal and men will tell you themselves that they really see no flaw in you until after they’ve laid with you. And if that be the honest truth then I’ll never trust someone that doesn’t understand his emotions well enough to see women simply as they are. Love women, as imperfectly as they are. And then proceed to find which fits perfectly under their arm.

    George's theory is flawed because of the flaw of his premise: "I think women are beautiful. I think they're amazing, I think they're the most magical of all of God's creations on this Earth, I'm enamored with them, and - frankly - I don't know how to pretend like I'm not." Women CAN be beautiful. They CAN be amazing. But the fact of the matter is, they aren't by default, and they're certainly not "the most magical" of beings. They're just human, just like the eleven men in his theory. Suppose the women and the eleven men are a professor and eleven students respectively, and ten of the students are constantly asking the professor about minor details related to how the course will function and extra credit opportunities, but the eleventh student only speaks up once or twice to ask questions related to the subject being instructed. I ask you, which of the students is the professor going to remember in the years to come, and which students is the professor going to want to forget as soon as possible? The woman in his scenario is interested in the eleventh guy because he's the only one who's not doing what the young people refer to as "simping." Does that mean he's right for her? No one knows. But an unknown is a better bet than someone who's obviously a bad choice, like the other ten guys who define their existence by her presence. Now I agree that it's a stupid idea to play at not caring in order to attract women, but I strongly disagree that such a guy is the kind women are only attracted to. Personally, I will stick to treating women like people rather than women. If they're nice to me, I'll treat them in kind; if they're shitbergs, I'll communicate as much to them. And we'll see what I get out of it.

    hes just pointing out a happenstance people! and then saying he doesnt want a woman that would fit into that category. how is everyone making it about invading personal space and stressing women out. the woman he describes in this is just a woman with orbiters who instead since she knows she could have anyone of them that she wanted goes after the one guy in the room who could seem to care less about her being there. hes literally describing a scene word for word and you people are STILL SOMEHOW putting words in his mouth to try and make it fit your ideas of what he means. its like someone saying the friend zone exists and then both sides arguing about what they meant by that when all they meant was that it exists.

    I know some women out there likes men who treats them like normal humans and not like a queen. But here's the catch when we men like something very much we simply would do anything for it and treats it like gold. This is probably the reason why most women come into bad relationships because the guy they dated never liked them in the first place and the men who liked her never got a chance to be with her. Because she thought he was being too kind to her or something. This is just honesly sad for both.

    I'm like this but I think the trick is when you're being nice to a girl, don't overdo it. Flirt with us, be nice, but don't overdo it with the niceness because then it could come across as needy and trying too hard. You don't have to pretend you don't like us. I want something real and nice with the guy I'm in love with. But he doesn't try too hard and we have fun just talking and joking around. Charisma makes a difference too. Just like guys, some of us girls don't like clingy and want some space and not coming off so strong.

It's the same with men too, sometimes we pick the brauds that we know won't talk to us again or cheat and we act suprised or other times we pick the one that isn't trying becuase that's authentic, the 11th person no matter gender will always be preferred becuase they don't have a goal that disrespects you and they don't need to show all their cards to prove their value they simply just need to be themselves.

Is he chasing after her cause he likes her or is he doing it because the other men like her.
