Hi, I use 5550-II's or PXC-550's (loved them until the battery died) and recently I have upgraded to Bose QC Ultra to help dampen noise even more. I am considering a new project, which may seem like just a mental exercise but it has to start somewhere. I purchased an all-aluminum travel trailer, which had one-piece panels and solid foam insulation. However, I found out that air invasion and insulation were still issues. Therefore, I would like to find a way to seal the air as well. The temperatures here can reach up to 120°F with long summers. Additionally, I may also be exposed to high humidity and air pollution at times. I would like to use solar power as much as possible and will opt for thick solid insulation unless I can find a way to vacuum insulate. Thanks for sharing!

You should consider using something like Miro to draw and sketch…. making proper digital plans and the like will make life so much easier! Paper and pen is so cumbersome and hard to experiment and do what if fittings and all that cool stuff.

Haha yeah it sure would, making up plans in my head all the time has caused me many a set back. I should learn to use some design software

Good effort Dan, Sorry about the camera mishap. The seals look like they are going to work fine with water - the next issue is ants and insects attracted to the light at night. The other issue will be dust that builds up, go through a puddle or creek (damp down the frame) then more thick dusty roads, and finally, you set up to camp. - then you need to open up the camper and that now dry mud/dust is on the closed seal - I hope that the chunks of mud/ dust are not set like concrete. - No that will never happen!!

Have you ran the slide in and out a few times to see if you get wear in any spots? Shame about the camera hopefully its not going to cost a fortune to fix. Nice update 2x👍

Fascinating, as always. The puzzle that keeps giving! Will you be testing the seals with a spray bottle, watering can or similar?

That Geof, I might take it outside and spray it with the hose once I've got the roof lifting situation sorted. But it really needs to spend some time in a good down pour, somehow it's very hard to replicate the effects of a good rain

I appreciate this is some months after you have done this but did you consider using inflatable rubber/latex seals? Par Group in the UK make some excellent seals for doors etc.
