Seahawks full seven round mock draft

It's time for another #mockdraft and this time I have a very trenches heavy projection for you -- as I try and come up with a simulation that is realistic for the #seahawks
Let me know your thoughts in the comments section (but be constructive, nobody needs to read your three word reviews because I didn't pick the player YOU wanted)

I love the realistic approach I think every fan gets unrealistic expectations and is shocked when the draft goes completely different than anyone would have thought. Rob called the hawks not picking jalen carter let’s see what he gets right this year!

To be fair, last 2 years felt like too good to be true from what I wanted the team to do so I’m kinda happy as long as they don’t bomb the draft lol.

I like what you did with your selections. Seattle did show a lot of interest in Michigan's draft day. Hopefully this new coaching staff can select players that they can develop. Seattle's second round last year had disappointing on field results. Hopefully will develop in second year as Mafe did.

This was wholly unsatisfying, and I am good with that. I agree that it’s bit unrealistic to think we will automate back in to the second round. I like the Keegan pick for another reason that you didn’t mention, he played on the line with Olu, so there is some built in familiarity on what could be a very very young o-line

I know that it probably won't happen, but seeing Troy Fautanu last to Miami got me wondering about your reaction if that did happen. I'd like to see your draft if he did remain available at 16, with the Seahawks taking him, and the rest of the draft being the picks that the Hawks have remaining. I'd also like to see if someone like Miami or Green Bay would actually give up a second or third for the chance to draft him. Your take on both scenarios would be interesting. I doubt that Fautanu lasting would happen, and it would be indicative of a run at another position, so him being there would also probably mean that teams would be willing to wait for one of the other linemen to fall to them. It'd be cool to hear you take, even if it's a dream scenario bordering on rosterbation. Thanks. Go Hawks.

Not a sexy draft. But we don’t have much draft capital to work with. The only pick I would be curious with is the LB. It seems like they value coverage. Thanks for the video!

Rob, I appreciate your reasoning that Seattle might not find great value in a draft pick swap but might take the best deal handed to them. The swap in this mock felt more realistic than most that I've seen floated by talking heads. I also appreciate not taking a player which will clearly go earlier than the simulation forecast. I'm still hung up trying to find a mismatch weapon to bring to the offense, but that is me and not what Seattle might do in the draft.

I like this mock, pretty much taking what you consider bpa. I do hope we can get a top guard prospect though, it would make me less nervous about the O Line this season.

I’d still love to see Troy Fauntanu get reunited with his offensive line Coach (Scott Huff) and his OC Ryan Grubb! I like Fauntanu because he can play both tackle and guard positions at a high level! Or the Center from Oregon, who can also play guard if needed! Or the edge rusher from UCLA, a former Husky too! Either way Seattle goes in the draft, the 1st priority is to add bodies in the trenches❗️Offensively & Defensively. This draft is deep for tackles, guards and Centers. So perhaps Seattle trades down for more draft capital? Or do they just take the best available player, period?! Seattle most likely isn’t drafting a QB in this upcoming draft, but ya never know what Schneider has in mind! He’s 1 of the NFL’s best GM’s, but he’s got to nail this draft once again! #ITrustJohn. It’s definitely an exciting time to be a Seahawks fan! I hope that Coach Mac can find success early in his Head Coaching career! Our offense should be able to score 30 a game with all of the weapons on offense and in Ryan Grubbs new system! If Coach Mac can stop teams from pounding the rock down our throats? Or the ALWAYS open pass across the middle of the field…If coach Mac can turn this defense into a top 10-15 unit? Seattle should be poised for another playoff run! We’re not yet truly Super Bowl contenders, but we could be closer than most think 🤔. #LFG #GoHawks #12’s #LoudestStadiumInTheCountry

Troy F can play tackle. He is the best value and fills a need. He brings positional flexibility. If you are going BPA in round 1 I would look at tackles, CB, or WR. There are teams likely to trade up.

@ 11:51 "Washington University", says Rob. At first I was all like, oh Gawd, not another Rob Staton Mock. But this is really good and, as we heard repeatedly, realistic. I like the Keegan at LG. Three years of starting at Michigan. Perhaps late rounders could be Adams from Illinois or Bills from Utah. Wallace was a combine interview. 250 lbs. 4.5

Seahawks need meat. There's no push on the OL and DL. First 2 picks could be DT, OG. 16: Murphy 81: Haines or Van Pran or Zinter. All the Michigan players and fans thought Zinter was the best player on the OL at Michigan. 102 - there could still be a good OT left or possibly TE Stover. Need maybe 2 LBs late in this draft as well. Maybe Jacobs from Penn State...and maybe Nathaniel Watson.

  • @Zorn76

The mock simulation is fun, but it's also unrealistic for anyone to guess how a draft falls after the first 3 picks. For the Seahawks, I think The Schneid ends up getting 12+ selections in the upcoming draft, because this team needs a major overhaul defensively to be anything good. OL always an issue, & TE needs a Real talent as a receiver instead of being an afterthought.

I love this sun 24.3.24 mock draft. Well done Rob. With 1 change. I hope they can get Troy F at 22 or 21 instead - as he knows Grubbs system & that cud win 3 extra games in 2024 season. I wud not move lower than 22 as drop off in ( injury susceptibility plus talent ) in picks 23 to 86 is huge. The gen z ate not as physically tough as LoB gen due to covid factors. As per the UK RG Maths Profs site accessible by UK Maths phd students, ( just go to Sheffield Uni or Birmingham Uni etc ). Its Only draft site that accurately predicts injury risk & run exclsively by worpds top Maths Prof's (This gens Isaac Newton types). (Do u want next gen injury prone all-pros like Jamal Adams or wuda rather have next gen low injury risk BWags HoF SB winning types?) Day 2 in this 2024 draft is very similar injury risk wise to day 3 in rounds 4 to 6, which is why JS trading to get 2 extra day 3 picks (rd 4 & rd6) was very fine by JS. JS got lucky..

I loved all your other 7 picks. I think the 1 yr prove it deal maybe a good wake up call D.Taylor. I am worried about uchennas injury risk & hope JS can get another edge sack machine in 2nd FA seasonnjn June. Maybe Jamal Adams can come back as a sacking Edge in a 1 yr prove it deal or he might even rest up to heal up & return in November. He did break the all time nfl sacks record 4 a NFL DB in his first season & most 12s fans loved that.

I think this mock draft makes a lot of sense. Especially when it comes to names that are available on the board. Do the picks of Darius Robinson/Brennan Jackson open the door for moving Dre’Mont Jones?

I agree that Titans trade looks a bit rich to trade up to pick #22, but Seattle could very likely get offered something similar for #16. If a team at top of Rd 2 has a strong 1st round grade on a player still available at #16 they may well give up a future 1st and more. And why not, if the team in question has a QB and see its future Tackle or Edge in this draft, why wait another year, where the quality of player and drafting position is still unknown. Seattle should strongly consider such a trade. In it lies their plan to trade for a high ranking QB?

Rather have Jer'Zhan in that first spot. He's more skilled as a pass rusher. It's interesting to compare Darius Robinson to Clowney, because Clowney was more athletic than Robinson and couldn't make it work. He underperformed throughout his career. IMO, just being big and strong isn't enough in most cases.

If Seattle wants another WR’er to their roster? Why not draft Luke McCaffrey in rounds 3-6…He’s got a tremendous family tree! His Grandfather was an Olympic athlete, his mother played D-1 soccer, his father played 13 seasons in the NFL, won 2 Super Bowl’s and he’s the younger brother of Christian McCaffrey. Luke is 6’2, 200lbs. He’s a former QB, who’s only played 2 years at the WR’er position! So there’s definitely room for improvement! Y’all saw it first about drafting Luke!
