SeaDoo Spark vs Trixx. Cold Ride, Stability Test and Cleaning

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I own both my spark and the trixx. Cleaning out the Sparks after the ocean ride, having fun and testing some other things. Talking about the thoughts on both of them again and having fun.

Bro!!! I’ve been looking at Spark Trixx videos for months now trying to establish how viable of a rental this would be. Your stability test at 21:00 was exactly what I needed to see (standing on the side w/ both feet and stating how much you weigh) and not one other video would give a decent controlled test like that. You just made my life a lot easier. Thank you! Would be a good idea for a more in depth video to show what it’s stability limitations are and reboarding difficulty from water.

Solid idea. Keep in mind I'm a pretty light guy that has been on dirtbikes and skis for years so it's a bit easier for me to stay on the ski. Not for nothing but being overweight and unstable in general will make these much more difficult stability wise. If you have a passenger, reduce that stability by 80% lol. Keep in mind they are probably the least stable out of any new ski out there, but if you know what you're doing you'll be fine. Stay safe

@@WeTryMotorsports I plan on taking one for a test run and finding out a little more in person. Do you think for a beginner, it would be more of a headache trying to ride with 2 people (average weight) than what it’s worth? I plan on getting the 3up version that has an extended rear mount. But that doesn’t help side stability. Thanks for replying so quickly🤘

@@michaellamm2942 definitely a good idea to take one for a test run. The three up is a bit more stable but still the design of the hull will roll a bit more than normal. As for beginner, these were designed with the intent of beginners. You're doing the right thing by researching!

I have ridden several jet skis but recently purchased my first. 2017 spark 3up HO, I like it for a bigger to play with but I do prefer to have something with more weight to it.

I am going to go against the grain and say that I like the standard more than the trixx. Hear me out... The trixx is a great ski, and I can see how fun it is. But take vts away, it becomes a normal spark with ibr and a bicycle handlebar (hated that trixx bar). I have done wheelies with trixx but quickly get board of that. So I sold mine and went for a basic model to make a bit of money and surprisingly, I do not miss it (apart from vts). My last point I would like to make is that vts needs ibr to function. I personally do not like ibr. If it faults, your day is over... So by going basic, I eliminate any vts and ibr issues... I find that makes the standard spark model more reliable over the trixx. I do miss vts at times and I am currently working on a manual trim prototype... Its a similar setup to the manual reverse bucket, but I raise the trim manually via lever and cable. If its a success, I will make a video on it. Just waiting on summer here in New Zealand.

Solid points, I do agree with this on some level. I enjoy the green ski almost as much as my trixx - so it makes perfect sense. If I had to choose again I'd probably get the trixx though, if it was on sale again. It all matters what your preference is and what can be afforded

Pretty easy if you're relatively fit, if not, it's pretty much like jumping over a 5 foot railing with a rail in the middle. Of course you can make it even easier by buying the boarding step as well. Then it's like climbing a ladder

as long as you're in decent shape it's pretty easy. grab onto the rear grab handle on the back of the seat while you're in the water. If you have a step, pull it down and step on it, hoist yourself up. if you don't have a step, pull yourself out of the water with a knee on the rear platform and pull yourself up. i might do a video on that this year :)
