Фильм және анимация

Here is an alternative to throwing away your seadoo sparks Crankshaft and will save your ski and THOUSANDS of $$$$
My hopes are that this will help many many folks confronted with this issue. If you need more information feel free to contact me though youtube or go to www.hotheadzmarine.com or text us anytime at 281-324-9191
CORRECTION The center of the oil seal is 18mm not 20mm.
We completed the other one and load tested them in the water, confirmed no more water or oil leaks so this is great news. I have a video of water test but will need to bundle all the vids together soon and reload on youtube.
Sorry about video quality, we are working on revising it but I wanted to get this out quick as it may help some people.

Mate, you're an absolute legend. This video has just made my day!! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I have one question which is would you recommend just having one single speedy seal fabricated which sleeves the entire corroded area?

@@hotheadzmarine I just installed the three new rubber seals inside the shaft casing. Do I need to replace them with special ones which are slightly thinner to accommodate the extra thickness of the new sleeve?

Or am I being an idiot and the idea is to sand down the existing corroded metal and part right by the flange (which is not corroded) down to a diameter meaning the replacement sleeve will be the exact same diameter as the original manufactured shaft. Sorry to be a pain and I hope this makes sense. Next time I come to the states I'm gonna drop in a buy you a beer or ten!

@@hotheadzmarine thanks man. So just get a thin full length sleeve fabricated, slip it on with the epoxy you mentioned and stick it all back together

Any feed back on a spark that was repaired using this method ? I believe a one piece sleeve would be the number one choice

I haven't heard anything from the owners so far. Agreed 1 sleeve would be best but would need to be custom made.

Did you need to machine the crank at all to fit sleeves?

No, just clean loose rust off well.

Can you sell me one of those 2” sleeves that goes over the crankshaft. I applied JB Weld & have been sanding it down but there’s a lot of pitting & I can’t get it smooth. I feel once I install the new PTO cover with the new seals, it’s probably going to leak oil & water into the hull which is the main issue I am trying to solve. I know the sleeve over the crank shaft would solve the problem much better. Where do I get one of those sleeves? Thanks & please let me know.

Just Google the part numbers that are in the video. I may have mentioned where we purchased them also. We haven't had to do another and do not keep the sleeve in stock.

Was the output shaft stripped? My PTO is leaking, needs new seals and i think my driveshaft is stripped.

Not on this one. If yours is stripped your gonna need a crankshaft or engine. If you need an engine I have one with 100hrs on it for 2500.00

Why not just buy a new output sleeve from seadoo for the March 2016 and newer? The real problem with the crankshafts and output sleeve from 2014-2016 is that the driveshaft will strip and spin. If yours isn't stripped yet, it will be soon.

These year models the sleeve is not replaceable. These splines had some damage but no severe. Im sure there life expectancy is compromised.
