j'ai juste éffectué un changement , remplacer un bloc de moussebleu par le Matrix début du mois d'aout , depuis le nitrites est toujours à 0,1 (gouttes jBL) malgré les changements d'eau osmosé (20% chaque semaine) , même en arrêtant la nourriture pendant 8 jours . nous sommes le 22 septembre le taux du NO2 est toujours a 0,1 !!!! es la faute au Matrix ? je me pose la question ? depuis début aout je n'ai plus touché au filtre (JBL e902) merci de votre aide. une solution peut etre : en ajoutant des bactéries dans le filtre, les nitrites ne vont pas descendre ?

Simple hang on filter that doesn't have compartments won't be able to effectively utilize said filter media. But usually you would want water to enter a sponge before reaching denitrate and then purigen.

Matrix is inert thus will not affect pH

Kalau yg baru boleh cuci dengan air pipe tapi kalau dah guna tak boleh. Guna air aquarium untuk Matrix yg dah ada bacteria

If I use over liters can be dangerous or I have more filtration?... more is better then less?

It is actually better to use more. The recommended amount is the maximum capacity of Matrix. It is better to use more so that the filtration won't reach maximum capacity especially in over loaded tank.

Yg 20L itu matrix pond. Packing yg kecil daripada itu semuanya matrix biasa

Saya pakai eheim 600 external filler. Berapa banyak matrix yg saya kene beli?… soalan kedua, kalau saya nak lebihkan biomedia, boleh tak saya letak dalam tank sahaja(dlm bag).

Sekurang-kurangnya guna 500ml untuk setiap 200L punya akuarium. Bio media yg bukan dalam filter tak berfungsi.

how long we can use the Matrix, can we use it forever without replacing it?

If use correctly, it can be use forever. However in some cases for example, the matrix was not maintain well and have been too dirty for some time it will lost it's full capabilities. Being left out to dry after used will also cause the dried up minerals to clogged some of the micro holes and reduce its capacity

Seperti yg di mentioned dalam video, Matrix dengan De nitrate dibuat daripada barang yg sama. Bezanya ialah size ia. Dan sebab saiz tu kalau de nitrate diguna dalam air yang flow ia sangat lambat ia boleh digunakan sebagai filter nitrate. Akan tapi jikalau diguna dalam filter biasa ia sama fungsi dengan matrix. Saiz kecilnya lebih sesuai diguna dalam nano tank yg filternya kecil

Both are design to remove ammonia. It will reduce the nitrate production but not remove nitrate from the system. But as mentioned in the video, if you run De*nitrate in a very slow flow rate it will generate enough denitrification bacteria to remove nitrate.

@@SeachemMalaysia Tq for your reply. So if my existing K1 biomedia did it's job for my 2200liter tank...NH3 & NO2 are both 0 ppm. My NO3 is between 40 to 80ppm within a day or two.... how much Denitrate I need to put into my sump at 120lph and how long must I wait for the Nitrate to drop below 20ppm?

@@SeachemMalaysia when you said "remove ammonia", can I assume you are not referring to nitrification which convert Ammonia to Nitrite but a total removal of NH3 compound

You'll need at least 12kg of Dr nitrate to have effect on the nitrate levels and it will takes several months. As denitrification is a slow process while your filter is generating nitrate very fast especially K1 media.

Hi water evaporation is normal with cannister filter and 4 air nozzel pump because water reducing I'm worried because 3rd day of cycle

Yang 20L tu ialah matrix pond. Matrix biasa takde 20L. Anda juga boleh mintak local dealer anda orderkan untuk you.

Tak sama. Matrix ialah biomedia Di mana fungsinya ialah untuk bela bakteria yg tukar ammonia ke nitrate manakala Zeolite ialah chemical filter media di mana ia boleh serap ammonia akan tapi tak boleh bela bakteria. Matrix ialah filter ammonia long term manakala Zeolite lebih kepada emergency serap ammonia untuk sementara waktu

It can still house bacteria but might not be as much as it used to. You can slowly replace them in the future. But don't change them all at once
