Regardless of how she got pulled down, to blame her for her death is absolutely ridiculous. Even the way the person who called 911 blamed her disgusted me.

Every trainer is willing to take these risks when they work with these animals. It's no ones fault. Animals are unpredictable at times and this was a mistake.

Poor whale. Poor Dawn. Poor every whale getting taken out of its home! Poor every person dying in there dream coming true. I need to know who is the owner is. This isn’t fair. ISN’T FAIR.

Bruh, the way they're making it seem like it's Dawn's fault makes me so annoyed.

It's a wonder this doesn't happen more often. These animals are just like humans and they have emotions. They're being held against their will.

Man why the hell do people just think they have the right to to take animals away and make money out of it no animal should be kept like that they should make a law about this 🤦🏻‍♀️

The animal industry needs to be held to higher standards. I work in it currently and the pet trade is the reason and cause for so many animal deaths. All I can do is try and educate as many people as possible. But the commercial companies responsible for making inadequate lighting and other products need to be held responsible.

Thats not her pony tail.. Look closely her pony tail isn't even wet her left hand is missing under the water that is what in tilikum mouth.

Yeah, the killer whale was clearly underfed and angry and took the girl as a snack then they try to blame a ponytail... That's pretty disgusting.

How are you gonna blame dawn. Tili has shown violence before BECAUSE of being held captive. They should have let the whale back into the ocean where they belong, not held in captivity. They tried to blame it on Dawn when it was not her fault. RIP to both Dawn and Tili

because the guidelines clearly stated not to be in his tank, she chose not to abide by those guidelines therefore she risked her own safety by taking that risk of being harmed. No she didn't deserve to die, but she was a tad aggressive with the whale, I'd be annoyed too if someone splashed water in my face and slapped on me. she set him off by agricating him.

You cannot let captive whales go. They won't survive. It depends on a rehabilitation system put into place. Sad for all parties involved.

In an interview, one of the supervisors or directors of SeaWorld excused this trainer's DEATH as a MISHAP, because, and I quote, "To them she was just a plaything in the water, they were probably just excited." And they still refuse to close the Orca exhibit? What psychos, man

She is skilled and was a professional. It was not her hair it was her arm, waist, and legs that were attacked. Nothing even near her head

Seaworld can’t blame Dawn.

Sea World should not have Orca's because they are used to being in the ocean. And ever noticed how the orca's dorsal fin is curled? The orca's think that youre a toy. Its not there fault!😠

Orcas aren’t dangerous. They are acting like that coz of what they are doing to them. I would do the same If i was the orca

Tillikum and dawn had such a strong bond. Dawn trusted Tilly to much to lay in the water with him

Its kinda her fault but not bc of her pony tail she wasnt aloud in the water in the first place. U cant get mad at them bc she didnt follow the rules but the whale shouldnt be dangerous if he is than he shouldnt be were children go everyday!!

For her hair to be pulled she would have had to be turned around or have been in the water. I think that's a cover-up and she was actually pulled in by a body part before being what was it fully or mostly being eaten by the killer whale. They are predators on a strict diet they mostly get fed small things during shows or snacks in training. So if they could eat a person they would. It's a natural response of them.

She wasn’t at fault at all they tried to cover it up it wasn’t her pony tail that got pulled it was her arm that whale just attacked her out of now where when she did nothing wrong but sea world just wants money so they act like she did it herself but she wasn’t in the water the trainers were by it and the whale jumped up and attacked her so sea world is only at fault

Former head trainer straight away blaming dawn ..... made a critical mistake..... the only mistake is that sea world got away with this in multiple times

you'll never be a trainer if you never interact with the trainee

Omg you know that may very well be what happen, that could be a posibilitie that the killer whale didn't know if he was doing harm to the person

Then there should be signs up saying please keep your ponytails pinned up high or pinned up or please have short hair when working here and if there's no nothing in the world books or nothing in anything that you sideways start then that's SeaWorld fault

Not very bright to hug killer whales. Horrible job to pursue.

What agitated the whale only god knows may b be he was unwell and didnt want to perform !!!! And she seems to be clearly annoying him !!! Rather than feeding him !!! CCTV footage should be leaked for public view to know what went wrong excatly!!! 1 thing I'm so surprised is that how vulnerable these trainer are ??? How can the sea world allow ppl to b with the whales and that with out any safety gears ?? No protective measures just like that they had been thrown to the whales !!! Seriously ridiculous !!!

ugly weenie It’s not their natural instincts. The animals at Sea World are not taken care of properly. Many animals were taken when they were babies and had their mom killed and filled with rocks by humans before taken to Sea World. And the tank is not big enough or deep enough for the whale causing them stress and sunburn. To much stress can make an animal fatal, So because of the stress it attacked. If it was left alone in the wild it would actually most likely be super friendly and love humans.

I still remember playing with my seaworld Barbie and whale in the tub

75k for a fine for sea world is like 7 bucks. it didn’t hurt them financially. I’m not against sea world , but I am against the old practices of taking babies from the ocean. However there is nothing that can be done these whales are dependent on human care.
