Idiocy. The one turtle still had a yolk attached,is critical to the first few days of life. If it shreds/tears (which it would easily do because you disturbed it) can lead to infection and the death of the baby. When these babies emerge, their yolks should be gone and bellies hardened. You did not do anyone a favor, especially these unfortunate sea turtles.

If i see a turtle nesting, i will help her. After she is back to the ocean, i would erase her footprints and tell nothing, keeping the "helpers" far away is the best thing to help the sea turtles species as a a all, usually they nest far away of the shore line where people don't do beach

because turtles are rare animals, why not raise them in captivity first until they are old enough to be released into the wild

she shouldn't have helped them at all, the turtles werent ready to go out yet, they probably didnt have energy and probably died, she rushed them out and helped them which is NOT good.

Not even that, the first ones to hatch usually are faster and stronger and reach the ocean, the weakers, should be predate so don't have chance to compete with the strongest and leave their weaker genes, in a few years any baby turtle can't reach the ocean by himself, if there isn't an human to smooth their path to the ocean and to keep predators away, there is a reason why the turtles evolved to spent energy developing hundreds of eggs

Wait, what are they doing? Why are they messing with them instead of letting them do their thing? I mean you work for an aquarium right.... The stupid ones that don't have strong senses to differentiate plastic from organic matter/ food, aren't well suited to leave their genes for next generations, the environment is always changing we should leave to the evolution to do their thing, in the past some species survived volcanos, high levels of oxygen, high levels of CO2, now only the most adapted ones will survive the human manipulation
