This was one of the first looping coasters I ever rode. Seeing these new cars and restraint systems is great. Huge improvement.

Same here. First upside down coaster for me. I remember when they were building it and, as a kid, I was petrified and in awe of its massiveness. It took me the following summer after it was functional to brave it. And I was completely hooked after that.

@@literaticrux8292 I actually chickened out my first time and got off the line. I still remember it. I was really young back then, maybe 8 or 9? Then later that summer I went to SFGA and had the Great American Scream Machine as my first looping coaster. Brings back memories!

Man all these off-rides are fantastic!

Last time I rode this beast was in 2011 & I remember the restraints were really loose and I kept feeling like I was going to fall out. I hope they've updated them since then.

This isn't the first time I've seen this happen. Sidewinder at Hersheypark was given these trains probably close to 10 years ago now and I always thought it ran slower with them. One of the ways you can tell it's running slower is where the train stops on the chain lift now vs where it used to (higher up). Not to mention the cable lift seems to have been slowed down since it definitely used to pull the old trains up quicker.

@@bigjake8612 It was also my first looping coaster but I was screaming, "GET ME OFF OF HERE," the entire time but I think I was scared because it was my first looping coaster so I didn't know what to expect. But now I have an idea of what it is like, I WANNA GO BACK ON WHEN MY FAMILY AND I GO THIS YEAR!!
