Sea Glass Tea Light

Use white sea glass to make a lovely tea light holder. The light from the flame shines nicely through the white glass. Embellish with other beach treasures.

    Hi Jackie, awesome project, I love it. Unfortunetly, our beaches here in Delaware are super clear from sea glass and seashells, I have to buy and is not cheap. But I think this is so beautiful, still will make it.

    I heard you say that you live on PEI and I can't believe it! I've always wanted to visit there because Anne of Green Gables is my favorite book/movie of all time. I've just started watching your videos and I actually just recently commented on one with your mosaics! Maybe one day I can visit you and we can make saw glass creations together lol 😊✌🏼🌊

    Ann of Green Gables is so much fun. If you make it to PEI we must try to connect. I spend as much as time as possible there during summer months.

    Very nice project thank you for the video. If someone were to pick up the Tea light by the glass instead of by the weight of the rock is it going to stay held together. It seemed like in your video you were holding it that way.

  • @SeaGlassArtbyJackie

    @SeaGlassArtbyJackie

    Yes you can pick it up. If a piece falls off it either isn’t set yet or you didn’t use enough silicone.

    Jackie I just found you on KZread and I m so happy I did! Because I am a sea glass collector in NJ and have been wanting to start crafting with it. Another thing I collect is tea lights, so this what I have been thinking of making! Question; I am guessing you buy your sea glass. Where do you buy it from? Also can you provide links to Amazon for the silicone you use? Thank you

    I don't buy sea glass. I have a lifelong collection that I use. I did do a video on Where Can I buy Sea Glass? There is a link in the comment section of all my videos to the silicone that i use. They changed the look of the product a bit but it's still the same - goes on white and dries clear. I just love these tea lights. They are beautiful with sea foam colored glass as well as white.

    Thanks. This is a fun one. I’ve never used E6000 so I can’t comment on that. I’d advise checking if it would be flammable.

    Hope you enjoy my videos. I’ve never tried wind chimes. I have wrapped sea glass for pendants but I don’t drill it and it seems they are sturdier if you drill it? I do love them and may try one some day. Now I want to save all my sea glass for mosaics.

    Hi Jackie. Lovely work. How does the silicone stand up to the heat of the candle

  • @SeaGlassArtbyJackie

    @SeaGlassArtbyJackie

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thanks. It holds and the pieces don’t shift out of place. It does get a bit soft but then hardens up again after the candle light is blown out. Sometimes I’ll use the battery tealight candles as they give less heat.
