Incredibly insightful video, would love to hear how you guys go about about the full process for matching the pistons to the engine and the application. I'm just learning to pick out some pistons for an old CM250C, and I'm scratching my head trying to keep up with all the numbers.

Not a single word about the coatings available and what they do. Was hoping to get some info on what types of coatings are available and what those various coatings do. smh

Wanted to keep costs down with an LM7 stroked to 383 with forged internals (4" stroke\3.905" bore). Problem is the compression height (1.110"). Very good for NA perfomance but I am concerned that the ring pack placement is far from ideal for heavy boost itrous. Should I shorten the stroke, taller block, or some other piston choice to alleviate this problem? 0.40" from the piston crown seems to be a good place to start. The extra 0.0055" in top ring gap has me less concerned when running all motor and E85. Gas venting should help. All input is welcome but the goal is to keep costs down using the LM7 block.

That might be something to talk over with one of the BTR sales guys. The Gen V stuff tends to need some massaging on the L83 pistons.
