1/20 Scale kits fit perfect 👌

Put a tonneu cover on the bed then you have room for the shocks & I think it will look better than a shallow bed.

Cut out a hole in the bed floor for the esc and make a toolbox that just goes over it and you can put the bed floor lower use styrene to make parts

I just baught this truck and put it on my scx24 and I cut holes on the bed of the truck where the battery velcro is and I put the Velcro through those holes to keep the whole truck on and I made a couple of other modifications so it fits right in the front and back and it looks amazing

The rear pinch is called a dovetail. You should be able to heat up the plastic a little and bend it to where you want it. Then if you want to still use the bed floor, cut it to match and glue in place. Or cut the bed floor, add glue, heat the bed side up and push it over to glue to the floor. Maybe use a rubber band to hold it in place until the glue dries completely.

Cool when I saw it I thought it was mine for a moment 😁I'm building one I bought a 1976 Chevrolet flare side and I'm using the scx24 white jeep its longer but its come out good 👍✌

Nice! I have a 84 Converted to RC cuz a model that doesn’t roll isn’t good enough for me , Especially if I cAn make it more fun Takes 10-15 min to charge 5 minute play time on full throttle 10 minute play time cruising around I also added a few fabricated parts

It isn't that exact one it's the camo but the orange w/ plow is the same exact thing just a different accessory pack. I only wanted the body as you can tell! ALSO:Thank you for stopping by and the subscribe! I really do appreciate it!

I swapped the axel links on the rear. Your RTR should come with a couple extras and I ran the smallest ones on top the mediums on bottom.

I’m building the same body. I screwed up and forgot to cut the bed shallow also. Now I’m fighting with the rear shocks etc. I’m probably just going to roughly cut the bed around the chase and send it. Anyone planning to do this body, before you assemble the box to the bed sides, cut the top of the bed level with the wheel wells and then glue it to the bed sides. Thank me later.

For the rear shocks you could run a pre-runner type setup and cut some holes in the bed for the shock towers to fit through. Unless you plan on mounting the bed to the top of them.

@@CrawlTalkRun already cut it out. I’m actually cutting up the deadbolt cage right now and I’m going to mount the back half in the bed and use the light bar and A pillar bars to poke out of where the windshield goes. It looks like it’ll work pretty good. Are you on the “Scx24 Mods and Fun” page on the book of faces? I can post a picture later so you can see it.

I also need to put the long links back on the back since the first thing I did was shorten the wheelbase because this body looked much smaller before I put it together. I think I’m probably going to stretch it out Ben further.

@@CrawlTalkRun I do have the 1:20 scale AMt Toyota body coming this week too because I thought this body was waaay too small at first so I wasn’t as careful about cutting this body as I should have been lol.

Do you have to move the battery and esc? I just ordered one with plans to do the same.

You dont have to. I did because i figured the battery weighed a tiny bit more than the esc. I wanted to make it feel like the front was heavier.. not much difference to be honest. I put a moto wheel balancer weight 7grams on the top of the servo and that was a good addition from what ive found so far. Crawling video coming soon. Snow is gone for the time being 🤯

Need to learn to use some styrene it would help

AMT makes a 1/25 scale Ford 76 camper special (AMT858/12) . This model is almost a perfect fit. Just use the deadbolt rear links and the jeep front links.. It has a hard bed cover and will need zero mods , except cutting some of the fender and firewall. If done correctly you can sue the deadbolts rear hinge mount on the tailgate and the firewall cut out portion will rest right past the battery tray , which will keep it from going side to side. Then use magnets to fasten using the jeeps fron mount. Only mod you will need is to dremel the back lip of the battery try so the battery can slide back a 8th of an inch. It's a perfect fit, using factory hardware. No need to relocate electronics and the lower body will be flush with the scx chasis rails as well as fenders and tires.
