soul calibur 5, the only game in the entire series that actually honest to god features soul calibur as an antagonist for once.

This is also my favorite stage. I mean it's needlessly epic, like all of Soul Calibur's orchestral themes.

I'd imagine it was impressed with the performance Sieg gave when he first encountered soul edge at the end of the very first game of the soul series.

You'd be surprised. When Pyrrha picked up soul edge the second time it actually seemed willingly let her free him, despite the risk. Although given Soul Edges penchant for scheming, it probably knew that helping the girl would break Soul Caliburs plans far more completely than ever before.

In story mode when she came to Patroklos, I thought it was Sophitia , then I heard the stuff she was saying and I knew right off the back it was Soul Calibur acting twisted and using the vision of Sophitia against Pat. Her theme is awesome and I love playing as her.

Very true. I think it's best summed like this, Soul Calibur primarily desires order and Soul Edge primarily desires destruction. However, *both* could give less of a crap about humanity and *both* were only built for a specific purpose. I also find that Soul Edge helping Pyrrha at the end was most likely out of some selfish desire that wasn't directly explained. It probably just saw the opportunity to harm Soul Calibur and took it.

however, in story mode and legendary souls she fights as pyrrha omega, and in her atworks she's using sophitia's weapon in its soul calibur form

So in the end of SCV, Soul Edge turns out to have a heart after all and Soul Calibur turned out to be an evil sword... interesting reversal.

actually no about Cassandra. In what is said in the story between SC4 to SC5, after finding Sophitia dead, Cass sorta went mad. In the Battle against Siegfried and Nightmare, which was happening above her and sophs corpse, she was sucked into the plains of Astral Chaos when Siegfried won. Now she is trapped wandering in Astral Chaos like Edge Master and Kilik

in a way "she" used mr.Siegfried in 4 and patroklos long before this fight even though i never played SCV before i just read it up on the wikia

My best guest with Cassandra is that she's in Seigfried's mercenary army along with Hilde. Shit got real when I noticed my two favorite people weren't in the game. (Cassandra and Talim) Meh Ivy and Maxi will do.

So is Kilik, Edgemaster, Algol, and Cervantes, and none of them are that hard to defeat.

Nope. Elysium isn't human at all, she's simply a manifestation of Soul Calibur's power.

She does the same amount of damage as the female characters. The only thing that separates her form other female characters is her critical edge, and the fact that she has Sophitia's animation of Angel's Strike followed by Painful Fate 236B 4, instead of Pyrrha Omega's animation. Other than that she doesn't produce more damage than the other female characters.

I miss Sophitia! :(

For Nightraph? Soul Edge never cared for Raphael. However, you will note that it expended considerable effort in maintaining Siegfried (the first Nightmare) as a host for years, despite the fact that after the first Soul Calibur game it might have been more advisable to move on. SE seems to have a capacity for either affection or at least the ability to form opinions of personal like/dislike.

It's the spirit of soul calibur (and slightly evil) It takes the form of patroklos' mother in order to wield it's user better. Soul calibur does not have the capacity for mercy or compassion.

Because she isn't Sophitia. However, her Pyrrha Omega style is similar to Sophitia's style.

well it actually what Edge Master said, when he met Patroklos, it's the will of the person that makes you the wielder or the one being wielded. Phyrra just had a stronger will then Soul Edge that time.

Closest thign to her is use Elysium and hope you get Pyrrha Omega because she turns into Sophitia almost completely(with Sophitia's taunt from SCIV)

No, I am not, however I understand how the mechanics of SCV function. I've been playing since Soul Edge, and yes the mechanics have drastically mutated since Soul Edge.

Soul Calibur MUST destroy Soul Edge. However, the reverse is not true. Soul Edge has a great capacity for scheming and planning, and willingly spared Tira on multiple occasions. It seems that while Soul edge hates Soul Calibur, it has other priorities and won't search for it (the time NightRaph! attacked Athens? SE knew its other was heading there.) SCV is the first time we see Soul Calibur actually displaying Soul Edge methods of subverting wills, but attempting to use brute force if need be.

well in a way it kinda is. Peace and order sounds a lot better than war and chaos in my opinion. I mean, at least innocent ppl can live happy lives without worry. Plus no babies gettin killed, so there's that.

Is it any different from Soul Edge wanting to destroy Soul Calibur and bring "war" and "chaos"? Black and white are dangerous things. It's only when they are destroyed or are mixed into grey can everything settle into balance. The only difference between the two swords are its relentless and stubborn ideals.

After listening to "Fearless eyes" from SCIII this just doesn't compare by thousands of miles. Sophitia didn't just die litterally, but spiritually as well with this abomination. Although without that comparison it's still decent.

I don't think people living under ultimate order is very nice at all. I don't know about you, but I REALLY don't want to entrust the lives of billions onto this power-hungry freak of a sword. Patroklos was pretty innocent, right? But he was tricked by Soul Calibur to kill his innocent sister who was tricked by Soul Edge. Would you believe someone who killed others under the pretense of "peace?" Would you believe someone who wanted total domination under the idea of "order?"
