Sculptures Disappear Into Thin Air
Ғылым және технология
German artist Julian Voss-Andreae is the mastermind behind these disappearing statues. His background in physics plays an important role in his creative process. He uses 3D scans and computer programming to map out his creations. It took him three years to finalize the process, but now you can see his sculptures on display all over the world.

I never have ever thought that the principles of Physics is responsible for this kind of modern sculpture. Most of all, I am really mesmerized and amazed to the great mind behind this sculpture. To the art caves of archaic humans up to the modern arts of today's society is really amazing how humans have developed and become more and more intelligent through time.

@Antonio Miguel Sanchez Mateu Yeah I agree. I remember this line from the book I've read recently, "We might be becoming more civilized as a whole but I don't think mankind ever really changes. We're not smarter, better, kinder people." We are humans with flaws and we can still make mistakes no matter what we do.
@StallionFernando
3 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's us becoming more intelligent, just building up on top of what people in the past discovered/accomplished. Some of the ancient churches and and pantheons had plans to take hundreds of years to be built for example, when a generation died off then next would continue the works. Another example the guy that created the first computer is dead but the generation after is what used that knowledge and made it fit on a table then in palm of our hand.

Its also incredible to really recall the fact that the mind enables a human being to be creative in such vast and unknowable levels beyond (think about countless musical pieces, art in its unfathomable variety and complexity as well as poetry, sculpting etc), it really is a bit of a miracle in my eyes. I truly think that the creative potential for new ideas are endless and are just waiting to be tapped into

@@_sunfish Uneven water levels can refract things differently. If they submerged it in a tank of water than it would probably look the same, but if they ran moving water over/in front of it the varying water thickness would change how the sculpture looks.
