Scuba Diver Rescues Whale Friend with Ropes Tied Tightly Around Lower Jaw || Dogtooth Media

Ойын-сауық

A brave diver saved a 'frightened' giant sperm whale that he has 'known' for a decade - by slashing through ropes that had become wrapped around its lower jaw and anchored to the bottom of the ocean.
After Hugues Vitry heard about a tired whale dragging a line of buoys eight miles off Mauritius on May 15, he knew he had to help the stranded animal, which he had been following since it was born in 2011.
Hugues jumped into the water alongside the 10 metre long giant and quickly spotted its jaw was entangled with rope that disappeared more than 2,000 metres to the Indian Ocean floor - dragging the poor creature's mouth wide open.

Thank you for keeping the original, naturally recorded audio and not blasting "inspirational" music the whole time....also, thank you for including text explanations, instead of playing some rando's narration over it. I'd much rather read text while listening to the underwater sounds! (And if I have to listen to people speak over the video, it at least better be the individuals actually involved, the ones currently on screen.) ❤ Quick edit: I didn't mean to sound angry in this comment, I was actually just trying to be positive, but failed to communicate my tone! I am not actually this negative in real life don't worry lol. I like lots of videos that do fall under my "shitty" description. For example, I think The Dodo usually does a good job at balancing the perfect level of background music over their videos, they're expertly mixed, and when there is a narrator, they always have the narration done by the people actually involved in the scene they're narrating over. But, you know why The Dodo manages to pull this off while other channels fail? The Dodo has a sizable production team that they can afford to pay...full of talented hardworking people, who spend the time, money, and labor required to edit and mix the audio...and to track down the individuals involved with the video, then film & record Skype interviews with them, and then carefully incorporate it into their videos. You know how much time and work that takes to coordinate and schedule and then complete?? It's a lot! The Dodo has a group of talented individuals who put a lot of time & hard work into their videos. A small channel cannot pull this off. That's why we get so many videos with loud free "inspirational" music blasted over it, with a random guy loudly narrating over the whole thing. (And I put "Inspirational" in quotes because that's the name of the category used by libraries of free music. The quotations weren't there to say I dislike the music used.) I appreciate this video, because I don't think this channel could have pulled off what The Dodo could pull off with these same clips. So instead of trying to incorporate music, they just let the real audio play. And instead of putting in poorly recorded audio of narration that's not well mixed, they just stuck with large text explaining everything. And I appreciate that!

The Lord work is not with animals. The Bible plainly tells us what God expects from His people and that relates totally to humans. Loving one another, giving the Word unto salvation, and the number one thing Christ told us is to love Him and obey His commandments. It is a compassionate heart that goes out to help a animal in trouble but blessings come from doing for fellow man.

their is no way that whale survived, you can see at the end when it is diving down, and starts to go a little ways away from the main rope, and you can literally see that its still extremely tight around the jaw when the whale pulls away, which just makes the jaw stretch to lengths it shouldn't be, you can see how bad it is right at the end the jaw was almost at an 90° angle, it would essentially be impossible for that rope to magically get off on its own, shame on the people who lied and upload this anyway trying to make it seem like they did good.

@@lindajackson618 real recycling is a solution too. We recycle every single piece of plastic, metal and cardboard that comes into our house and if the recycle bin gets full plastic takes priority. But I’ve read that even though plastic bottles are turned in for recycling few recyclers have the capability of recycling them, so they end up in a landfill anyway. I have no idea what happens to the ones we turn in. Also, many places don’t offer recycling. We live outside city limits in a rural area, but the garbage people we contract with do recycling. But the nearby town we did live in and that my mother and my daughter live in used to do recycling with their trash pick up, but discontinued it a couple of years ago. So that’s 50,000 people who can no longer recycle anything at all. That’s a lot of bottles going to the landfill. But again, the bigger problem is the issue of recyclers not being able to recycle bottles. Every single recycler needs to have that capability. Perhaps as the government is pushing and subsidizing the development of other green initiatives, they should subsidize getting that capability up and running.

Unfortunately their is no way that whale survived, you can see at the end when it is diving down, and starts to go a little ways away from the main rope, and you can literally see that its still extremely tight around the jaw when the whale pulls away, which just makes the jaw stretch to lengths it shouldn't be, you can see how bad it is right at the end the jaw was almost at an 90° angle, it would essentially be impossible for that rope to magically get off on its own, shame on the people who lied and upload this anyway trying to make it seem like they did good.
