Never missed an episode of sctv... RIP Joe Flaherty

Andrea Martin is hilarious. Classic character that never fails to deliver.

SCTV consisted of a power house team. Loved that show. RIP Joe Flaherty.

SCTV was my go-to for sheer happiness. They were all wonderful. R.I.P. Joe Flaherty (I was lucky enough to tell him in person how much I enjoyed his work on the show.)

SCTV was magic....the wonderful way so.many talented people worked so well together is rare....i dont know if we will ever see anything like that again Joe was one of the best comedy foils of all time...Thanks for the memories. RIP Joe

very underrated show. the whole cast was brilliant.

For a while, Andrea Martin was the funniest comedian on earth, following in the footsteps of Imogene Coca on "Your Show of Shows." Perrini Scleroso!!? This running character made us laugh so much we hurt ourselves! (Coca had writers like Woody Allen and Neil Simon; Martin's humor was mostly improvised)

Imogene Coca never worked with Woody. Allen worked with Sid Caesar in the late 50s, and by then Caeser and Coca were working separate from each other (by design of NBC). I do agree with your sentiment about Andrea Martin. I wish she had become a huge star like Coca.

I’d give you 100 Robin Williams’ for one Joe Flaherty. The guy was the greatest comic chameleon. Utterly natural. RIP

Unnecessary to put one person down to elevate another. You could have left out the first sentence and it would have been a wonderful tribute. I'm guessing Joe Flaherty would agree, and moreover very likely that he respected Robin Williams as almost all improv players and comics do.

@@martyperdeck3453 if you see what I said as “put down” I’d suggest you’re too close to Robin Williams…was he a relative? Williams was a great comedian (for some), I just value Flaherty 100 x more.

It wasn't always easy to stay up past the news to see the good stuff, CKVR would run shows late during the summer. It was one of the three channels we could get.

She came to this country the proper way as did my great grandparents and I'm certain your ancestors did as well. 2. A person cannot be "a porno". This shit is really a big problem. I went to the doctors office . And the house keeper was. on the first floor. . She had just came out the restroom she was supposed to have been cleaning . After she walked. Away . I went in to use it . And it was dirty . The I went to the waiting area . And a lady asked her , Ma'am where is. the restroom at ? And she stuck her fingers in her mouth and was looking lost . And then she started talking in mexican . And that lady couldn't understand her. And I thought that was so stupid . If you are going to work in certain places like doctor office's or hospitals you should speak English. It should be a must .

Ultimately it shows how long this has been an issue that SCtV aired skits about it in the late 70s / early 80s. 40-50 years of democratic and republican failures.
