    Regarding Maintain the velocity. .. We can look for the possibilities of reducing the unwanted work like overdoing something, avoid gold plating, automating some tasks which actually reduce the effort, eliminating the waiting time, reducing defects, delays, hand-offs, Task switching, unnecessary features. By doing this we can maintain the velocity.

    That can be one factor, another thing is you relook at your profile from the recruiter point of view and find reason for calling you over say ten similar profiles, think "what is something in your profile which will generates the call?"

    Yes working agreement is good tool, the key to answer is share how one has used it in past experience and how possibly you want to do it in given situation.

  • @izenbridge

    I think we need to ask this question to both the teams and see what they suggest. Yes it has to be planned. In framework like SAFe, they recommend all the related teams doing planning together.

    How SM should react -- when PO comes with super duper important requirement in the middle of the project and wants it to be completed within aggressive timeline and current resources are not enough skilled/prepared and internal management expecting to manage with available resources only?

  • @izenbridge

    @izenbridge

    I think its time to respond rather react, and response needs understanding of the complete situation and creating empathy in everyone about each other, leading to problem solving.

    Hello Sir, can you plz helpe with the following question. How does a scrum master know that he/she has delivered a right value.

  • @izenbridge

    @izenbridge

    2 жыл бұрын

    How does one know about value delivery? Just by taking the feedback, so value can only been seen by consumer of your service / delivery, so we only can sense by sensing the consumer reaction. Now SM needs to see what are his services and to whom, and SM need to collect feedback from these people to know how things are going. Sometime feedback need to be asked, sometime it can be seen or felt.

    Hi Sir In video, you stated that If DOD is becoming stringent then it's not ideal to increase story points.. But If team doesn't increase it then how can they fit all work in their capacity?? It will give false impression to PO that Dev team will complete 5 stories but actually as DOD has changed actually team can finish only 4.. Can you please help to understand the concept

    What is the objective of sizing? if it is for showing productivity or work done by team, I think you better change the size but if it is to project rest of the work in product backlog than better you keep the backlog as before and let the velocity get adjusted. Or change the size of complete rest of the backlog. So I think we better have clarity of both the cases, changing and not changing and give options to team and stakeholders.

    @@izenbridge sir ths answer isn't helping ,cos the question in the video was something related to how to keep increasing velocity n having stringent dod will obviously make the team estimate a 1 pointer to 2 ,3 pointer story to 5 ,a 5 pointer story to 8 n hence earlier if thy were doing 3 stories close to 9 points per sprint ,now thy might absorb only 2 stories close to 7 points. Decreased velocity n how can v justify ths as the guy in the video clearly said 3 companies weren't happy abt his explanation. Kindly clarify.

    What should be the solution if i see teams velocity decreasing every sprint . How am i suppose to handle it ? What will be the best solution

  • @izenbridge

    @izenbridge

    2 жыл бұрын

    This problem best solved jointly with team, so you bring them together and show the trend and ask if concerns them, and if yes what can we do about it ? if not, why it is not concerning. Many things can make velocity go low 1. Dependencies are not getting resolved 2. Lots of Open Issues / Impediments 3. Holidays during the sprint 4. Leaves 5. Lack of motivation in few team members 6. Lack of skills 7. Lack of Automation 8. Rework 9. Application becoming complex day by day. So we need to see what is the issue in given case and how can we find Root Cause of it and than fix some of them.

  • @izenbridge

    Think from recruiter point of view, what can make the recruiter select you as a scrum master over others? What I am pointing to is make a list of strength you have which can make recruiter select you and grow and showcase these strengths. The Certified Scrum Master is something a basic program which recruiter might expects the candidate should have it, and it also teaches you what it takes to do scrum master job, so doing it is good idea. You can find more on our CSM program here: www.izenbridge.com/certified-scrum-master/
