Scrubs used music beautifully! Sometimes to tie plot points together, or to highlight the character’s struggles. Ted’s Band, the Air Bands, the tragic Broadway singer episode, Colin Hays’ several appearances, all perfect.

I never related more to a character, then I did to Ted. Sam Lloyd's Ted reminded me that even if the world constantly shits in your soup, you don't need to take it out on others to deal with it. The world may be a bad place sometimes bad things happen to good people but its never a justification to treat others poorly. RIP Sam Lloyd, thanks for the laughs an the lesson. I will not forget. 4:48

I drew the same conclusion. Ted is my spirit animal, to use a rather worn out meme, and I'll have to rewatch the entire show when I get time over the summer to reminisce and reinforce my love for the show and Ted Buckland. Rest in peace, Sam Lloyd. You are sorely missed.

The Blanks (the real name of this band) is one of the few that does a Capella right. They have a good ratio of backups to singers. So many a Capella groups I've heard have twenty people doing effects and one singer-it sounds like listening to the radio with a weak signal.

Thats the exact moment I became a Ted fan.

RIP. One of the unsung heroes of the show. Awesome character and actor.

They're actually very good singers, specially Ted as the lead singer. On top of that it's so damn hilarious ''Hey, you got promoted!'' ''It's about time! He's been busting his hump around here for six years mmh mmh'' Best part!

Rest in peace, Sam. You brought so much joy to us while you were here. It's bringing a smile to my face remembering you today.

Thank you Sam Lloyd for one of best depictions of the over worked and under appreciated. Ted was a character we could all relate to, you will be missed. I just introduced my partner to Scrubs and I can’t wait til we get to the seasons where The Blanks show up.

The band's a Capella version of the Wedding March from Wagner's Lohengrin was just exquisite. RIP Sam Lloyd.

Always my favorite part of a really good show. Ted was the epitome of life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Only he gave us music. Thanks.

@Thomas Mack: Wow, you aren't kidding. I just checked his Wikipedia page, and he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour as well as metastatic lung cancer which spread to his liver, spine, and jaw. Holy crap, that is awful.

Charles in charge slapped so hard

I was so sad to learn about Sam Lloyd's passing listening to Fake Doctor's Real Friends. He was so funny on the show and such a talented singer. Plus, it seems he was an even better person. R.I.P.

This show really used everyone's talents to their fullest. Sam Lloyd was a treasure for this show.

I loved the blanks before Sam sadly passed away, was so gutted to find out, great compilation.

"You guys were fine." lol I love Ted and his Band! My fave is when they sung the theme song to "Charles in Charge"

The little one with the deep voice makes my day. He's so intense.

Sam Lloyd is a very talented musician. Really cool discovering these kinds of tidbits.

the word is titbits...I know you're referring to the episode with the irritating ambulance driver whose son died in an accident who then surmises on this very point - but the word is titbits, and tits are breasts or small birds! Hence they are small bits of what are already quite small things!

Will miss you guy! Always one of the best characters in the whole series.
