That way the Janitor never got fired despite being a terrible Janitor always made me think that he had way more power than believed. Watching Scrubs for the first time I was honestly waiting for the big reveal that the Janitor isn't actually a Janitor, but a bored billionaire who actually owns the hospital.

It was originally intended that the janitor was just a figment of JD's imagination. Early on JD was the only one the janitor talked to.

settled a dispute between quarreling doctors, started an in house daycare program for hospital staff with kids, attempt to secure new equipment for hospital and acquired new cutting edge piece of tech for the hospital......the janitor probably did more as chief o medicine in one episode then kelso did in every season combined.

@@Legendary_sartorian Most likely also cause Janitor is just playing around which lets him to focus on the job only, while Kelso has been in the job for so long so he half-assed his way, I mean we see him using the hospital funds for personal entertainment in past episodes and likely just bought a lower quality stuffs for the hospital

I love the insinuation that the janitor plays in a lotr group but when they asked to play warhammer he brought an actual warhammer.

Did it ever occur to anybody the reason why the janitor is rarely actually seen doing janitorial work is because he’s actually the head of the department. Most heads of departments don’t actually work in their departments all the time. Think about how often Celso actually sees patients

I always thought in the later series Janitor was gonna get promoted to head of maintenance like how turk was chief of surgery, cox chief of medicine and carla was head nurse.

Bob Kelso is the most perfect and well-played character in TV Show history.

This is hands down my favorite episode of scrubs.

Shiit, that was pure class from start to finish. Can't believe i hadn't seen it before.

Polio's not gonna know what hit it

Jack: "Hi dad" Dr. Cox: "Jack? W-w-what are you doing?"

You're a true fan when you noticed Doctor Colonel Sanders in the background often in the series.

It's the bit where he randomly sends Ted to fax the huge book I like. It just adds something awesome.

I love that the easier solution to fixing the painting was to just take his face off the painting but he instead put ANOTHER face over the first one

THIS kind of thing is why Janitor is my favorite character.

Underrated show

Neil Flynn truly is an unmatched talent

When he tells Ted to fax a huge medical book to someone always makes me laugh.

This was a good episode, many funny moments and scenes in it.

Just brilliant.

The bit about the Warhammer is especially funny because one of the later editions of WFRP's critical hit charts were written by a medical doctor for extra realism. I think that happened a few years after this episode, though.
