Thank you for your videos! I recently found you on here! I have been scrolling for at least 6 years. Still learning! I got the same saw! I am going to try the compound cutting now that I have watched you! Thank you!

Thank you. I was one of the ones requesting this. It really helps me see where I need to grow in my own scrolling. I have only been scrolling for about a year, so I expect that in another 19 years I could have the speed and accuracy that you do. However, at that time I will be 94, so everything's up in the air about that. Thanks again for a great video. Blessings, Glen

Thanks a lot Tyler. I am one of those who requested real time scrollsaw work. I am still only two and half years into scrolling. I do a bit then leave it for a while. I am getting faster and gaining confidence but still envy the speed you turn corners at. I tend to nibble away until I can turn unimpeded. Also, I worked on something this weekend. I used spray adhesive on pattern directly to wood. It was a nightmare to get off. Spent roughly three times as long cleaning it up than scrolling. I am still having problems keeping plain blades in so have only used pin blades for last few projects. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

If you spray adhesive directly on the wood, then wipe mineral spirits on the pattern. Allow it to soak in a bit, and the pattern will lift right off. Usually you will have to wipe the workpiece after removing the pattern to remove some residual glue. Better is to apply painters tape or clear shelf paper onto the wood then spray adhesive onto the back of the pattern and place the pattern on the tape. The tape lubricates the blade and there is no sticky residual on the workpiece after removing the pattern.

@@Intarsia82 Thank you Ronald. I have tried both those methods before with success. I will be going back to them. This weekend taught me a lesson in not to be impatient and try to cut corners.

Good Afternoon, I've been scrolling since I was 9yo, 50 years later I still can't get use to spiral blades, is there a major learning curve, for some reason I just can't get the hang of it, I cut portraits with a #2 or 3 straight blades they still come out nice but when I use a spiral well it comes out like well crap, any hints you could tell me Oh yes I practice for at least 30 minutes with a spiral blade Thank you

I have only been scrolling for 4 or 5 years and I still have problems, at times, turning quickly. I know how to do it, but it is like I don't react quick enough. I always do a practice first to get in the groove. I think it is because I sometime tense up. Enjoyed, take care!

Amazing work Tyler. Does your camera have the ability to zero in on for a closer look as the blade is cutting the wood?
