Scripture Is About Our Shame - Ed Welch

With Scripture’s introduction, “the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed,” we begin the story of shame, and it is Scripture’s premiere story. Since it is so important in Scripture, we expect to find this problem everywhere. Believers will experience its lively remnants, and unbelievers will always be looking for ways to cover up and present a better image to God and humankind. It is, indeed, everywhere. It lurks beneath so many human problems, so it is needed within the church. It is also a powerful theme through which we invite unbelievers to Jesus.
