Can you make a high vocal video too? I love high vocals.
More tutorials please, this is super super helpful, I mainly watch the reaction vids for your breakdown of techniques so having straight up tutorial vids like this where it's ALL technique is absolutely perfect

I’ve always known about the tongue placement, mouth shape, etc. But, hearing you do the sounds without distortion really put it into a better perspective and I instantly got a nice sound with no pain. 👍👍👍 Thanks for this.
Hi Mark, love the content! Please make more of these. Would like a whole series of these, lows, highs, gutturals, pig squeals, etc etc etc.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE tutorials like this, I recently learned how to do basic false chord and would love to learn all the cool tricks to do with it, these are awesome!
Loved this style video!

Love you Mark!! That final technique, I like to slide my tounge from each side of my mouth, while opening the corresponding corners of my lips. I let the sound kinda 'swing' from side to side while doing this for a certain section. 🖤💀🖤
The last one has me dead 💀 😵 very impressive brother as per expected 🤘🧑🏻🎤
omg! this is so freaking helpful, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.🤘
Walking through all of this mouth and tongue placement was super helpful, thanks Mark!
MORE PLEASE!!
Hell yeah, this is a rad video! Thanks for uploading it, Mark! I'm still just trying to figure out how to do a basic false cord, but once I do and get it down, I'll keep this video in mind! 😂
I just want to let you know how useful your videos are, for the longest time my own screams were confusing to me because i wasn't sure what they were supposed to feel like, now i finally feel like i'm making progress.
Holy shit that was helpful. Just following along I can't believe the sounds that are coming out of my mouth D: Thank you so much for making videos with more "advanced" topics! Most tutorials focus on how to get the base growling tone, but tutorials like this that help with what comes after are few and far between. Would also really appreciate a similar video for higher tones, like your demonstration at 6:03 :)
Your videos are sweet simple and such a help dude
Sounds sick !!
been listening to A LOT of whitechapel so this helped out a ton man, I appreciate the great tutorials 🤘🤘
I love watching these videos. Beings back all the memories of learning when I was a kid. In my 30’s now. I actually got better the less seriously I took vocals (that’s just for the actual sounds, please please please put your health and safety above all else, take THAT part seriously. Otherwise you cam say goodbye to ever being a vocalist, injuries can happen very easily if you push yourself or don’t listen to your body when it says “hey this hurts”). Once you get the technique down and you produce your vocals properly, the rest is goofing off and looking and sounding like a mental patient to find new sounds and such. You really have to have a good amount of humility and be okay with looking absolutely stupid to everyone around you lol Also, when you do tunnel throat, move your jaw to the side, and move your tongue to the side as well, and it helps tunnel throat come through more clear with less distortion. Well I mean it’s still distorted, but it’s less muffled sounding. That works well because the side position of your tongue making contact with your teeth actually helps enunciate because your toune is already there and it just takes the very little motion so you can say words easier. It takes some getting used to, but it’s one of those tiny adjustments that can make a world of difference for some lines.
amazing, thanks!
i have been working on getting my lows good for my recordings and today i recorded my best vocals ever today :)

i’ve been wanting to make my lows THICC, so thanks, mark.
More tutorials please!
Soft pallete technique sound really close to the heavier bands like arcanus, thanks for that. Been trying to get a more brutal low
See, I can get the lows. Could you do one on the tunnel throat highs that you did? That sounded so gnarly. And that’s where I struggle is highs like that. And breath support
When I do the tongue back like I’m saying lavender thing my gutterals sound more like pig squeals so I make a “gutteral” through a “tunnel” position
Hellyeah!!!
Why does it sound so crispy
5:06 This sounds the the old phil bozeman. Like Possession or This is Exile from Whitechapel. I've wanted to know how to make this sound my whole friggen life man! This is great
Hey man you have GOT to check out the new Summoning The Lich. Dudes got some of the crispiest highs.
I think I need to join the course or something because I’m still not able to wrap my head around adding the distortion because my throat just kind of gets itchy and I think I’m doing it wrong
I was going back on the website and the submissions for the contest were closed… I thought the deadline was the 20, I’m still recording :(

Oh hey mark.. you should check out Not Enough Space- No Way Out. I think you would find some unique vocals from them
What is a good microphone for beginning, especially if you know your singing vocals can push some condenser mics into compression? I've seen rec's for really good mics, which with pop filters, a quality stand, and more can get very pricey, even though a singer may be just exploring things. Even knowing where to start looking on this is challenging, as places try to sell a lot of things you may not need (yet).

Could you do a vid on how to relax while doing false chord?
@KardavoxAcademy
5 ай бұрын
While I don't have a specific video focused on this because I don't make a lot of technique videos - this is a subject I talk about a LOT across all of my videos.
I've been having issues using my tongue while doing false chords. Wanted to confirm whether you were doing false chords throughout this video or whether they were a combination of low frys/tunnel throat?
Hi , the band Deviloof released a new video
i am on the ass end of our trailer and on the opposite side my wife is complaining I'm resonating through 900 sqft and she cant sleep
I can get a decent sound but it hurts the fuck out of the back of my throat, any tips? Will it go away? Do i just need to play around and practice more?
Some of this stuff makes me gag when I try it :( is that something that one can overcome?
Hey dude, my main concern is my throat hurts when I scream. How can I really relax the throat and still get that low gutteral?
Trying to learn slam burp gurgle
When you are doing gutturals are you using false chords? I’m having a real hard time with mid to low range screams that sound like bands such as “Voylinch Manyscript” or “white chapel”, or maybe “Bad Omens”. It’s been real hard to know where I’m growling from, it’s hard to find the write feeling and not hurt myself.
How do you push distortion through
I dont understand how to get the distortion to project. I can do a whisper growl. I put my tongue infront of my bottom teeth. But i can not project it. Hallllppppp
Man, I can do everything up until adding distortion. It's like there's no way for me to get enough air to flow through it
Zweleicht/Symphony of a Dying Star be Mental Cruelty 😘
3:27 "so after 17 very specific steps that everyone with a mouth and tongue can follow, all you have to do now is just HHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHGRHGGGGGGGGGRGHGRHRHGHG"
The second guttural kinda sounds like Adam from Oceano
I can do a false cord scream, no problem. But no matter where I place my tongue and how I shape my lips it still doesn't sound much different than my false cord scream. I got somewhat closer with tongue curled up and behind bottom teeth, but with the tip touching the upper teeth or roof of the mouth does nothing for me. Not sure what I am doing wrong and how to proceed from there to get that gurgly toilet bowl sound.
Am I wrong or it has been a long time since you made a "tutorial"?

@@KardavoxAcademy Well, since you answered to my comment, let me give you my take on this: not only i've learned how to do disgusting sounds with my mouth thanks to your old tutorials, but I even managed to teach that to a couple of friend of mines. So, in other words: PLEASE GIVE ME MOOOOOOOOOOORE. PS: I live in Italy, so the time difference is not irrelevant, but I will have to find a way to book you for a checku of my growls and screams. Just let me earn some more money :D
Thnx for the tips just one question though... are u using false chord or fry. It kinda sounds like false chord but i just want to make sure.
