Fun Fact: Originally the school for this movie was Santa Rosa City School but they rejected because they thought Scream was a comedy (its called Scream tho what) so they filmed at a different school. And Wes Craven being the legend that he is, wrote at the very end of the credits “NO THANKS WHATSOEVER TO THE SANTA ROSA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT GOVERNING BOARD”

Especially when talking to Dewey in Scream 2 and 4…The pain of losing Tatum Scream 3, you see it when she goes to the garage. She got tears in her eyes looking at the pet door in the garage. That was because originally the highschool scenes in the film were supposed to be filmed at Santa Rosa in California which later backed out of it's deal with Wes Craven, because upon closer inspection they deemed the film too violent and inappropriate for them to wish to participate, so they backed out last minute and Wes was forced to use a different school in the same state. So he left a little "fuck you" in the credits for them.

This movie has a timeless style! So much style and appeal with the cast... starting with Drew Barrymore, Neve Campbell and Rose McGowan... Then, Skeet, Matt and Jamie... Courtney and David had their own dynamic together. The teenaged vibe added to it as well as the other characters. For me, I was 11-12 when scream came out, so these are middle school memories for me. :) The movie was 1996, however, you have kids born later past the millennium that enjoyed the original scream over some of the newer horror movies.

I saw this in theaters and I remember a group of friends next to me were surprised to learn that was Drew Barrymore as Casey. I was like what? How could you not know that was Drew? Even in the wig I recognized her immediately. I imagine many already know that Drew was originally set to play Sidney and she asked to play Casey instead. The movie studio was against it because Drew was the star and they didn't want the lead to die in the first 15 minutes but Drew insisted and they reluctantly agreed.

This is the movie that made me from a child into a preteen at 11-12, and the horror movie I’ll never forget. Still has so much style…. 25 years anniversary of this movie… I’m 36… getting serious nostalgia watching scream 5 ending credits “Fall out of Love” and still remember the young version of the original characters and how they are passing the torch. Kind of a sad, but bittersweet feeling…

I went to Universal Studios in Hollywood and my tour guide said that he grew up in Santa Rosa, California. Eventually I mentioned that I loved horror movies and he asked me what some of my favorites were. I mentioned Scream as one of them and he laughed. He said that he went to Santa Rosa City School and that Scream was going to be filmed there. Somehow the school didn’t know that they were filming a horror movie even though the original title was literally “Scary Movie”. Once the school figured that out, they refused to let them film there. My guide said that if you go to the end credits of the movie, it says, “No thanks whatsoever to the Santa Rosa City School District”. The first thing I did after we left the park was watched the credits of Scream and that’s exactly what it says.

Scream 5 has been released recently in theaters and since I couldn’t see the movie because I was too young, I only knew Drew Barrymore in Charlie’s Angels, Courtney Cox in Friends, Rose McGowan in Charmed and Matthew Lillard in Scooby-Doo 1 & 2 movie before becoming the voice of Shaggy after playing Shaggy as an actor.

I loved Drew in Charlie's Angels (and the sequel Full Throttle), Courtney in Friends, and Matthrew in Scooby-Doo like they were amazing, and to see them all in Scream before those even existed was amazing. Only thing I wish I could do is get my butt in gear and watch the original Charmed series for Rose. I'm bad with TV shows, more of a movie person, can't help it but I've always wanted to watch the original Charmed though.

@@mrman6845 the credits usually go in ABC order with a few minor characters at the end of the credits. Hence why David Arquette is listed first, despite Neve Campbell being the star of the movie. The exception is the credits in Scream 4. And Lillard wouldn’t come before Campbell or Cox in ABC order😐

Fun Fact: Originally the school for this movie was Santa Rosa City School but they rejected because they thought Scream was a comedy (its called Scream tho what) so they filmed at a different school. And Wes Craven being the legend that he is, wrote at the very end of the credits “NO THANKS WHATSOEVER TO THE SANTA ROSA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT GOVERNING BOARD”
When I saw this when it came out I left the theater knowing it was going to be a massive classic . Miss that feeling

That’s my favorite song. I play it on a Spotify constantly. “First Cool Hive” by Moby. They also did the song that plays in Stranger Things when they pull “Will”‘ s body from the water and when Max is getting broken at every joint. Powerful well placed tracks

Especially when talking to Dewey in Scream 2 and 4…The pain of losing Tatum Scream 3, you see it when she goes to the garage. She got tears in her eyes looking at the pet door in the garage. Definitely implied she doesn’t like to talk about it.

One of the best end credits to top it up with a great song.
Whoever put these credits together did their thing! It fit so well and kinda tied everything together. Even the upbeat tune goes well after the mayhem! #screamforever

That was because originally the highschool scenes in the film were supposed to be filmed at Santa Rosa in California which later backed out of it's deal with Wes Craven, because upon closer inspection they deemed the film too violent and inappropriate for them to wish to participate, so they backed out last minute and Wes was forced to use a different school in the same state. So he left a little "fuck you" in the credits for them.
This movie has a timeless style! So much style and appeal with the cast... starting with Drew Barrymore, Neve Campbell and Rose McGowan... Then, Skeet, Matt and Jamie... Courtney and David had their own dynamic together. The teenaged vibe added to it as well as the other characters. For me, I was 11-12 when scream came out, so these are middle school memories for me. :) The movie was 1996, however, you have kids born later past the millennium that enjoyed the original scream over some of the newer horror movies.
Man I miss the 90’s! I just want to go back! This movie everything was fresh. Good cartoons on tv. Kids went outside and played with other kids. It’s not the same even though I’m older I still miss it and wish I could go back.
I saw this in theaters and I remember a group of friends next to me were surprised to learn that was Drew Barrymore as Casey. I was like what? How could you not know that was Drew? Even in the wig I recognized her immediately. I imagine many already know that Drew was originally set to play Sidney and she asked to play Casey instead. The movie studio was against it because Drew was the star and they didn't want the lead to die in the first 15 minutes but Drew insisted and they reluctantly agreed.

Added more to the thrill and of course I love Drew Barrymore, who doesn't? But I think Neve Campbell would've pulled off the final girl better than Drew Barrymore just by how much intensity she shows and, well she just most likely pulls it off better, but of course I still love Barrymore.
The 90s folks.... It was amazing.
The ghostface part gave me a jumpscare when it came on🤣🤣🤣

My childhood movie reminds me of the good old days
Just went to see it yesterday. I only watched it once before on Netflix, and enjoyed it alot. Watching it again in theaters for its 25th anniversary and had to look this song up, lol
Watching this always gets to me in a way because my mom was pregnant with me when this movie came out. Like listening to this and thinking about the fact that this movie came out a year before I was born gives me goosebumps

This is the movie that made me from a child into a preteen at 11-12, and the horror movie I’ll never forget. Still has so much style…. 25 years anniversary of this movie… I’m 36… getting serious nostalgia watching scream 5 ending credits “Fall out of Love” and still remember the young version of the original characters and how they are passing the torch. Kind of a sad, but bittersweet feeling…
I've never enjoyed watching end credits as much as I do with the Scream movies
I went to Universal Studios in Hollywood and my tour guide said that he grew up in Santa Rosa, California. Eventually I mentioned that I loved horror movies and he asked me what some of my favorites were. I mentioned Scream as one of them and he laughed. He said that he went to Santa Rosa City School and that Scream was going to be filmed there. Somehow the school didn’t know that they were filming a horror movie even though the original title was literally “Scary Movie”. Once the school figured that out, they refused to let them film there. My guide said that if you go to the end credits of the movie, it says, “No thanks whatsoever to the Santa Rosa City School District”. The first thing I did after we left the park was watched the credits of Scream and that’s exactly what it says.
Scream 5 has been released recently in theaters and since I couldn’t see the movie because I was too young, I only knew Drew Barrymore in Charlie’s Angels, Courtney Cox in Friends, Rose McGowan in Charmed and Matthew Lillard in Scooby-Doo 1 & 2 movie before becoming the voice of Shaggy after playing Shaggy as an actor.

I loved Drew in Charlie's Angels (and the sequel Full Throttle), Courtney in Friends, and Matthrew in Scooby-Doo like they were amazing, and to see them all in Scream before those even existed was amazing. Only thing I wish I could do is get my butt in gear and watch the original Charmed series for Rose. I'm bad with TV shows, more of a movie person, can't help it but I've always wanted to watch the original Charmed though.

Saw on a documentary that there was outrage among parents of the original school they were going to use for filming once they found out it was a slasher movie being filmed, so production had to scramble to find an alternative location.
