    I have an obsession with the big Styrofoam pieces that are used for shipping things. Every pieces is already unique and interesting. Most of the work is already done sometimes.

    Cities should have community collection warehouses where people can bring trash and unused supplies and hobbyists, artists, etc. can come and get stuff to use for free.

    This type of thing is one of the most fun things you can build in the hobby. For this type of terrain painting I recommend using house paint/emulsion tester pots, they generally have a higher pigment content than the really cheap craft paints you can get.

    reminds me of something. I got the Warhammer Fantasy 6th edition rulebook and there’s a section in it that teaches you how to make terrain and it includes using old cans and stuff.

    Scratch build is the best part of the hobby for me. Scifi/grimdark terrain is most fun with tons of stuff collected. Always on the lookout for new cool shapes. Great you guys made a video to get more people inspired. 👍little tip. Make the posters a bit more torn and folded and ofcourse dirty.

    I suggest using a cheap house painting brush to stipple your filler to give it texture and remove brush/spatula marks.

    Great idea and concept and it looks great. What washes and such would you use to blend the posters in more to the wall? They look great but I feel, personally, that they stand out too much as brand new posters. Some may be new others wouldn't be.

    One of the things that bugs me about some of these is scale and how it would work with different games. I've just picked up some battletech and I realized the scale of it compared to warhammer compared to d&d minis I might use for Frostgrave or similar. I'm sure it'd play just fine though.

    Is there a particular ratio for your texture mix? Would have been cool to have thrown numbers on as you were adding the materials. Did you buy the paint racks (Vallejo) or did they send those to you? Just curious if that's something everyone can get.

    Yes you can! But wear a good mask, if it's thinned with white spirit you really really don't want to breath that in.

    Top video and use of items. Fun fact, in most countries it is a crime to remove sand, stones and natural material from public beaches, parks etc (I imagine only enforced when you collect sand with a truck not a tub 😂) Have a good one everyone 👍
