Every one of those models has so much character and story to them. Of course we want to see you paint them all. This one looks amazing and I look forward to seeing the next one.

Can you share some more info about the Vallejo paint set you are working on? :) I really enjoyed this episode and would love to see more of the other pirates. :) Maybe you can weave in a few more tips about painting skin and why you do what you do. That would be great. Understanding what your thought process it while painting. :)

@@SquidmarMiniatures Awesome! I like Vallejo a lot! Hope you can make a video about it soon. :D While you are at it: Can you please ask them to change the layout of their bottle labels, so the name of the color is centered again? When you watch a KZread video of someone painting, and they show the front of the bottle, I always only see back half of the English and front half of the Spanish name. And that usually means "...Red Rojo..." 🙈. Makes it difficult to lookup and buy the colors myself, unless they are mentioned by name. ArmyPainter currently has the best labels, in my opinion.

I'm a hater, I'm a hater!!! You were like, "Haters are gonna hate," and I was like, "I never hate anything they say," but then I saw what I saw, and I did hate it! I did, I do! Might be worth it, though.

that pegleg looks wrong, the skin and flesh is too tattered and fresh looking to have huge ship mast poking out of it, it could be fixed by just adding a crowsnest type thing around it to hide it

hate these kinds of vids making stuff for "free" using "only things you have around the house"...yes, if you're a professional miniature/diorama builder/creator/painter then you would absolutely have all these things around the house. For everyone else, we can see that you're using literal hundreds of dollars worth of crafting supplies, including the glues, putties, paints, artificial grass and plants, etc. A set of dollar-store hobby paints will absolutely not net you the same effects. I fully appreciate the talent and the fact you saved a few bucks by printing out templates for cutting out cardboard buildings, but let's not pretend that the average person will really be able to make something like this for free

I had that exact same lego boat...and my brother already had an even bigger blue one because he's the elder. Still mine was the newer one and loved the hell out of that boat. Thanks for the nostalgia, and good luck painting the rest of your giants for the competition!

Great Minis! And thank you for not making another Jack Sparrow. As an idea: I would think the King should have more scars visible on the skin. Your skin tone is great but it looks kind of too neat/healthy for a heavy melee fighter.

Ohhh! He’s wearing the Lego pirate sails as a loin cloth. Which brings us to the question of: What happened to the Lego pirates? Were they ambushed by the giants? Or, did they unsuccessfully attempt to raid the giants treasure? I have to think about this 19:39

To raise some awareness of the topic, I will also add here my comment I made two weeks ago on a video of Trovarion regarding brushes. I always went with natural hair brushes, as I often heard, that synthetic brushes would give less quality and can not replace natural hair ones. In addition I also did not want to support the production of more synthetic/plastic for the environment... . Then, however, I learned that most of this natural hair is coming from countries where there exist no, or really bad animal protection laws. There they breed for example especially red martens (for the Kolinsky brushes) and badgers in really small cages and really bad care,... just so I can put some color on some plastic? Therefore I looked into the brands and was also willing to pay much more if I would see for a certificate for the hair from responsible sources, or at least the origin country. However, you nearly NEVER find one. Usually brush companies get this product from big material sales companies ordering bunches of hair... and if they are expensive this is usually due to quality and length of the hair, not animal wellfare. So I reconsidered... synthetic brushes are still usually recyclable (when you separate the synthetic, Metal and wood components), they usually have less synthetic hair than a tooth brush, and there is extra effort put into the production of synthetic hair brushes, so they perform similar to real hair ones, ultimately avoiding animal cruelty. While on the other hand martens or badgers maybe got all their claws and teeth extracted, so they can not damage the product growing on their back... . I couldn't buy another natural hair brush any more without thinking about the cruel pictures of their harvest. I gladly take the less good painting results.^^ --- This is just another aspect I wanted to add to the brushes topic (this btw counts also for other natural hair paint brushes. Look yourself how often you find the origin of the brush hair in the brushes at your home). Everyone, however, is free to chose what they prefer, or what they need. Maybe some don't have the money to afford expensive ones which really care about animal wellfare regarding their hair sources, or if you are really into competition, small differences may in the end make the difference in winning or not, or if your results on a painting youtube channel look promising enough to be considered professional. So this comment is no offence to you or anyone using natural hair brushes. It was just something I stumbled upon when starting to paint minis. And I don't want this topic to be taken by anyone to start an out cry or hate against natural hair painters. If anyone wants to blame someone, start to demand according guarantees from brush producers (but please in a respectful way) or vote with your money and go for synthetic ones...
