HOW TO MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

There's so many things I love about your channel, 'Stack. Knowing that I've got something awesome to watch every Friday with a nice mug of coffee is but one. Been subbed for at least four years now and have yet to be disappointed! Have to say that my favorite parts are the melting itself (though the disassembly portion is oddly captivating/hypnotic), then watching the ingots clean partially as they melt through the ice. Ingot looked like he was hoping for more treats, since Bullion had already run off toward the back yard. Dare I ask how often you rant when the copper winds up having holes on the bar? There's usually what seems like a 50% chance for me... then I wind up re-melting again and again... and again... >.>

But he is not in this for profit from the metals he gets.

Given that aluminum has a lower melting temperature than copper, it gets alloyed in. Believe the melting temperature of aluminum is 660 C, where copper is, I think, 1089 C. If the copper is melted, it's more likely that some of the aluminum is being burnt off.

One reason I can't do what you do is that my garage would be full of jars of nuts, screws, bolts, and washers. I would never be able to get rid of them for thinking I might need one of them one day. LOL

Hi as a fan who just started watching your videos this year. Just wanted to say I love how you do giveaways with draws the way you do. Also love the art you make with this stuff and look forward to new videos after work. Just wanted to leave a comment if that helps, cheers from Canada.

Love watching your videos! I’m not sure if the best parts are dismantling stuff, your cooking skills, smashing skills, or when you flip your shoes across the room. And I’ve learned some stuff. Thanks!

You're inching your way closer and closer to the one ton mark. Or I guess in non-American terms, you're millimetering your way. I wasn't expecting to get up at 2:00 in the morning, but this was a welcome addition.
