About 18 months ago I decided not to cut a whole piece of paper until I had used up most of the scraps in my studio. LOL - I am still working on it!! But the scrap population is much larger sized and smaller in number; so I am making progress!!

I love how today's card came out. The colors are perfect together. I liked all of your card samples, especially the one with the strips put onto the center square (turned to be a diamond). Haven't tried the 2 stencil technique on white strips yet, but I have recently purchased some stencils from amazon and got a new stencil set from Stampin' Up about a week ago as well. The other technique is the ribbon weaving you did on a couple of cards. You may have already shown that technique, I can't remember if you did. Would you repeat or show how you do that in one of your videos comming up soon. As always, love your videos. Thank you very much.

Hi there Julia. Firstly, I must say 🎈✨🎉 CONGRATULATIONS 🎉✨🎈 on reaching over 1000 subscribers. YAY you did it, and I am so delighted for you that others are finding you and subscribing. I remember when you were around the low 100's when I found your channel about 7 months ago. I subscribe to a lot of channels, and I would honestly say that Senior Susie Stamps would have to be my #1 favourite!!! I was very intrigued by this technique, and I have to confess that I have never seen it before. Of course, at first I was wondering where you were going with the stencilling over the white scraps... but isn't the reveal exciting?! I loved this technique and all the cards that you shared at the end... they were simply beautiful. I thought the last card with the diamond shape with its subtle colours so gorgeous. Julia was the first layer on this card embossed, because it looks slightly raised and just captured the ink. I absolutely love your 'using scraps series' as it helps us get creative in using up our scraps! It is so lovely that you have the company of Miss Cordelia while you create. Enjoy your day, happy crafting and looking forward to your next video. Blessings, love and hugs from your Aussie friend, Gloria! 🥰🐨🦘💐💖💕 P.S Sharing coffee, cake and conversation on your front porch! ☕☕🍰🍰

I always am uplifted by your responses to my videos! I hope you realize how much you mean to me. Now that diamond card background was actually a stencil ink pull off the top after I put ink through the stencil. It gives the negative image from the stencil and I thought it would be a great background piece for the diamond. Of the bunch it is my favorite as well, because it was more of a challenge to figure out the 1/4 inch strips. Ever made a Texas Sheet Cake? That's what I am making today! VERY easy!! Jon loves it. @@SeniorSusieStamps OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I have just written out the recipe. I have never seen a cake made this way before where you boil some of the ingredients and add it directly to the cake batter..., it is like it shouldn't work!!! I am so happy to see a pic of the cake with the recipe, and it looks so yummy almost like an iced brownie. I will definitely have to try this recipe once I get some extra ingredients like sour cream. What would the cake be like without the icing, and could you freeze this cake? When I saw the diamond card, I thought the cardstock was embossed as it looked like it had some texture. I recall you doing this technique in an earlier video where you made positive and negative images of a stencil. You know I would have never thought to use the stencil to create a negative image and would have just washed the stencil... this is why I love, love, love your channel. Wishing you a wonderful day, and I hope your Texas Sheet cake was a success... and save a piece for me! 😀 Blessings, love and hugs from your Aussie friend Gloria! 🥰☕🍰🌻💖💕 P.S Thank you Julia for your sweet words. 💖

@@gloriaonesimus6244 Now, I use Dark Chocolate to make this cake and put 4 TB in the batter. And it usually takes 25 minutes in my oven in an airbake pan. The best pieces are warm out of the oven after they have cooled enough to get that coffee going. And I always frost, because at my age why not?! I do cut and freeze and it does very well. This recipe makes 20 pieces so we enjoy it for a while. We just pull 2 pieces out of the freezer for daily desert until it's gone.
