Scrap Pine and Plywood Draw bottom - Wood turning
I went to my local Rebuild site www.rebuildsit... and found a small piece of scrap pine, which I combined with the plywood from an old hardwood desk draw.
Thank you very much for watching.

I always enjoy watching your videos and the creativity that you bring to them, by using common scrap wood peices that many of us have lying around, but never occurred to me, to use them in these ways. As a beginner wood turner myself, this is great and I would be quite interested in a video of you showing us the tools you use and even how you sharpen them. Thanks again for all the great content.

Awesome, thank you! I would always encourage you to buy a decent bowl gouge, then find a grind that suits you best. I use a Hamlet gouge, I think that it's this one www.toolsandtimber.co.uk/hamlet-3-8-bowl-gouge-14-handle
Very nice simple bowl, the beauty is in the simplicity 😊

So pretty! The darker stripe actually compliments the wonderful grain in the pine. Another beauty!

I totally agree!
Nice! How does the plywood hold up over time? When I've tried multiple different wood types the expansion and contraction over time do cause issues.

So far so good. I think that being kiln dried at some point helps with pine
Spot on👍
