1) It's explained that the results are not consistent, it doesn't *have* to show one's greatest/innermost desires, they can be passing whims. Like, say, lamenting that you couldn't find the tie you wanted to wear to work that day. 2) Even outside of that, there are plenty of things that can change without being represented physically. Such as being rid of physical/mental afflictions like Tourrettes, a burdensome memory, depression, etc. Just because drastic change isn't visible *physically* doesn't mean that one is not desired.

Coarse should be a disassembled camera and 1:1 should be a regular Polaroid in my opinion. I like the rest of it, but another cool option for very fine would be if it shows the photographer's desire in relation to the person photographed.

I wonder why SCP 978 isn't used as part of the containment process of sentient SCP's. If the photo comes back showing the other SCP eating a person you know for sure you have a problem on hand, but if the photo shows the SCP doing something mundane you have supporting evidence of the SCP being most likely peaceful and would have lost nothing from the experiment.

The Calculator was by far my favorite. It just wants to be appreciated for doing what it does best. Simple and wholesome.

So many of these made me a little sad. I love how most show the desire to be useful, with loved ones, or at peace. No matter who or what we are, we share a lot at our core. I think my picture would show me hugging my late mom and grandparents surrounded by my current pets and ones that have passed on.

ok this one is kinda cute and i like it a lot, and the photo with 053 playing with 682 is especially precious. i hope she got to keep that picture, it's lovely.

This was the first SCP KZread video I had ever watched. The only thing in this video I remember so vividly was the researchers taking a picture of Doctor Clef and getting a censored version of his face with a middle finger plastered over it. I always wondered, the calculator is a confirmed "Erick" object, just like the fridge with the kids drawing and the ball of string. Is the kid in the picture the mysterious Erick?

I have read scp 978's wiki and it said that 999's desire is to hug the guy taking the picture while he is laughing. also, 999 is eating m&m's that time.

In the SCP Illustrated 096 and 049 video when the doctor touches the shy guy, he kind of goes in this weird mindspace thing and the Shy Guy's just little kid sitting at the base of a tree , and it made me think of that by the way it was described here, being that so far that's the only interaction with a small child that I know of with 049

Gotta be honest, when I first wrote the log for SCP-049 I wasn't thinking of the child being 096 but after all there's no canon in SCP :)
