SCP-661 Salesman, Too Good to be True

Фильм және анимация

Dr Bob brings you SCP Foundation SAFE Class object, SCP-661 Salesman, Too Good to be True Animation.
Join the DR BOB SQUAD by going to / drbob and become an Honorary Member of the Dr. Bob Research Staff!
SCP 661 is a Caucasian male. Clinical tests have determined him to be overweight and in poor health, although he has no underlying health problems.
SCP661’s temperament has been frequently described as abrasive and demanding.
Testing has determined that SCP-661’s voice has the power to manipulate others into wanting what he tells them to want. Test subjects have described the effect as feeling like a continuous weak compulsion, which remains as a thought at the back of the mind for up to a week after encountering SCP-661.

I suspect that him buying those items lowered the compulsion effect to the low-level status, for he had already succumbed to the obsession. With the full brunt of the obsession done, he was able to break free, and taking away the TV eliminated the chances for new compusions.

That detective should be approached by the foundation. She thought way outside the box and found an scp and very nearly tracked it down. She was able to recognize a pattern of unusual behavior that seemed outside the realm of what is considered normal yet wasn't deterred by that. She has the tenacity to be an exceptional agent for the foundation. Well written character.

@Night Owl the logic to conclude rather a voice over to a series of seemingly unrelated commercials was connected to suspicious events is a leap of unusual logic. Most people in general would find the notion to absurd. The character did not. That is a trait that sets her personality apart. She did the job of a detective but went a step further. We could make the argument for anything we wished. Consider the following argument, I piloted the space shuttles and had 17 successful flights.. Yeahbut isn't that what a pilot is supposed to do. Yes, but most reasonable people would acknowledge the distinguishing factors of space flight vs a 747, and most people would distinguish passenger plane piloting from a bush pilot. Doing something of a kind doesn't mean that certain factors haven't set someone apart either in part or wholly from the standard of that kind. Now im not saying this character just blew detective work out of the water she is Sherlock Holmes and batman all in one. But she made an unusual leap of logic and was confident in it, and that is a deviation from the norm. She lives in the scp world and did naturally what scp agents are typically trained extensively to do. So in conclusion yes..that is what their supposed to do but its a bit unorthodox to blame the tv voice for the crime wave and definitely falls outside the scope most rational people would ever allow themselves to consider or even admit if they did indeed consider it for fear of ridicule. So again, i state. She thought outside the box and didn't doubt herself. That's some foundation type work right there.

@@bustavonnutz sorry you feel that way but it's not true, you just happened to run into a bad egg before a good one but trust me, people like that exist on both sides of the sidewalk and you really shouldn't let past experience sour your future expectations. Take new meetings with a grain of salt and don't tell them everything right off the bat but if you come at relationships with an open expectation to be treated poorly, that negatively is unfortunately gonna push the worthwhile people away and attract the bad ones, why? Because overly bitter people seem to have the tendency to become what they hate so please, take a step back before you ruin yourself, I've seen others start down that route of trusting no one and only expecting the worst of others and they're the loneliest people I've ever met. 1000% don't trust anyone right off the bat, but also allow some room for fallible people to have a chance if you even want to try. If you find you're happier alone though, that's fine too, I am atm, just don't try opening with that on a first date, it probably won't end how you want it too because I think most people are secretly afraid the other person is gonna be horrible to them and I think everyone does wanna trust someone, it can be hard though ik

It's not really that hard though imo to just, idk, write or type stuff out, but this coming from someone who literally lost their voice for around a week maybe four years ago and I only know a few words in sign language. It wasn't what I'd call fun but it was survivable, though I might've been the most annoyed of anyone since it's surprisingly hard to get peoples' attention without direct eye contact when you don't like being within arm's reach of anyone ^^' though tbf I've never had a habit of tapping people's shoulders to get their attention but that is an option I just... Reason a lot of detectives carry notebooks with them is to keep detailed notes on everything. Memory can blue some details that mean the difference between figuring out what happened and it becoming a mystery. Cameras are also common as well. If you ever see a detective writing folks, please, do not disturb them until after they stop writing and taking photos if you have some information or anything you believe may be useful to what they are investigating.

I came here for SCP content, not a love story to rival all of Hollywood's "love" story garbage and ya know what? I'm not even mad. The SCP itself on this one is just, ok ig, not one of the more phenomenal stories from the Wiki but still one of the interesting ones to consider the possibilities of what it's truly capable of if it was left unchecked, but seriously, we got a hilarous gag commercial bit straight into childhood nostalgia and a great side story about a loving couple. What a treat, though I'll admit it took me a moment to figure out which of the two was deaf because I was actually thinking for a second that one of them was mute. Nope, I was wrong. Still a great story though and I love how things like this unfold around different SCP instances, like the objects don't just exist in a vacuum, you see the ripple affects of its presence through not only the main cast, but sometimes the people around them and it's awesome, definitely makes these stories seem more alive and organic. Also have to comment on the art and animation because the ad segment looked like it took more effort then usual with all of the colorful, moving bits involved, and it definitely seems like you've gotten a lot more comfortable with the art style on this channel AND a lot more creative with the characters and little stories that come with this presentation style. Love how the storytelling is used to explain some of the SCP lore and origins to some degree before the straightforward explanation at the end, it's fun imo with the ones I don't already know to try to figure them out with context clues from the opening story before learning if I'm right or wrong, though fair if anyone disagrees and prefers more infodumping then creative storytelling. Hey, noone can please everyone, not even this SCP, so that's ok. You've already hooked me with this video style so you're doing something right and just keep being you Dr. Bob ^^

I like this SCP a lot tbh! It’s very cool! The diversity in characters, struggles, and the somewhat happy ending in the couples story is amazing

I’m glad one of these love stories in the Dr Bob universe pulled through the anomalous effects, like that old war veteran against the worms.

Thanks for the videos as usual. I appreciate the diversity but it seems the last 4-6 episodes have been video game/cartoon character themed. Please can we get the really dark episodes mixed back in, it was 'The black god' video that brought me to your channel and it seems like im watching another channel now. Thanks again and great work.

I love your videos Dr Bob! I searched for some good scp animations and when I saw this one, I loved it instantly. In my opinion scp is so interesting and I love seeing scps sprout to life on the screen instead of reading it on an article. I love the voice on the videos it's so cool! I also love the stories you make up at the start. There is just something about this channel that makes me happy. Everyday I look at the channels I've subscribed to and check if you have posted a new one. I love waiting in anticipation for what scp you might cover next! I think what you have done is amazing and I've been a fan of you ever since I found this channel and watched one of your videos. Even when things seem rough and the path is barren remember, that even though things may seem bad, do not let that bring you down, your content doesn't have to be the best of the best, it just has to be good Go with what you think is good!😁

Another thing was that this SCP was treated horribly by staff whenever he tried to make a request (like farted on when he asked for someone to open a window to let some fresh air in) until a researcher had enough and scolded the staff before allowing some of the requests.
