That part about them standing up with their "containment procedures" was encouraging. Because all the sacrifice both good and bad the SCP does, they fight a battle that alone no one could win, but collectively have a chance.

As a Chilean, I'm actually impressed by how these SCPs seem oddly aimilar (in a really good way) to our own folklore myth of Ten-Ten and cai cai vilú Two elemental serpents (water and earth) that fought eachother because of the same reason. Water wanted to end humans because humans suck and dont respect nature... But the earth serpent wanted to save them because it has seen the good aide of them, and created island to counteract the giant tsunamis the water serpent had created to kill humans...

Considering that this thing resides in South America and that the first country referenced in the containment procedures is Chile, it was probably inspired by the myth Edit: Oh wait, the article itsely references this. First page, it notes how local inhabitants have myths that correlate to the entity. This was before they knew it was two serpents, so they predicted based on the myths that there were two. They turned out to be correct, obviously

You're talking about the "It" in the human psychosphere, the one that feeds off our suffering both in life and in death. I thought that as well at first, but it seems to point that this treat beyond our understanding is the Fifth god, whose whole thing is being contradicting and nonsensical. The two serpents also seem to refer to two of the SCP gods, one of them being mechanical and caring for mankind, while the other changes flesh and are willing to wipe us out for its own goals.

@@ethanor yeah "It" is what first came to mind but what are these five gods you mention because I can only think of 4: scp-343, the scarlet king, the two you mentioned I.e mekhane/the broken God and whatever the sarkite God is called. Am I getting that right and if so then is this Fifth God something mentioned in other files?

i think the fives are referring to the deitys mentioneed on the painting in audapopulous or what that scp city in the sky with the dead demon body is named. on of the 5 is yaldebach ( god that created scp 610 and is the deity for sarcic cults) one is mechane, one is the scarlet king, one i dont know and the one wearing the iron crown.

The fact the Land Serpent has gears in its body, does it have any connection with Mekhane, the Broken God?

omg I have loved the twin serpents since I found out about them about a year ago so great ti see my fav scp channel doing a video on them!

There's a phenomenal number of scps that are absolutely enormous. There's a sarkic one that lives under an entire mountain range. There's like at least 8 super giant sea creatures too with anantashesha and the 2 giants that fight each other being first and forefront in my mind. The giant creatures that walk on the ocean but get sick and die the more people know about them are also fairly large. The SCP world is populated by giants and the humans are just the ants that think they're in charge only because evidence to the contrary is being hidden.

Hope you guys cover scp 3125 one of my favourite scps since its obviously being mentioned here.

Already done. There a host of stories of them and reports to read and watch as lot of scp content channels have them up.

I've wondered this beforw, but this video just brings it back to the front burner. HOWWWWW does earth have all these Gargantuan creatures, and they've never crossed paths or clashed in all the stories?? I can think of the Eel v Lobster, and the Dragonslayer Armor. Well this lore is deep. At first I thought the gods could've been something like scp-343 God, or scp-001 the Scarlet king, but know it's all clear, scp-001 the broken God, it is the the one who created every scp that is gear related, while the... flesh God(or something along the lines of that.) Created everything meat oriented. An example being scp-610, the flesh that hates. The cult of the broken God was somewhat accurate

I think it’s that thing in the Scp 5000 story that the sea serpent wants to eliminate humanity for. It is a mysterious thing that could spell destruction for everything, and it come in fives as in the 5 in 5000.

It seems you're not aware of the circumstances surrounding Dr. Bright. The man who created him, aka "AdminBright," was found to be a pedophile and used the character to groom young people on the SCP Wiki. AdminBright is gone now, and the Wiki staff are trying to remove all trace of him from there, starting with replacing Jack Bright with Dr. Elias Shaw. SCPE was only recently made aware of this, and decided to help get rid of Bright permanently. I know how it can feel to look forward to something and then miss it, but given the circumstances, it's sort of justified.

When I heard that the sea serpent was named Kaikai, I giggled because in Singapore, we have a panda named Kaikai at the zoo.
