Well, lets be honest their approach is at least a viable option if not the best option more often than otherwise. Kill them all shouldn't be the first option against a lot of SCPs but it's a pretty good solution to a lot of them. And that's not even counting the ones that the foundation would kill themseves if they could.

The only reason the SCP Foundation doesn’t do the same is because they believe researching them would help them find the cause and ultimately end these problems and also in the case that if they did indeed destroy them it cause something bad to happen.

@@Pylo-ry6ff You just have to be absolutely sure that neutralizing one SCP doesn't cause another one, or one that could be found in the future, to change its behavior to a degree that would be harder to contain than just containing the one to be neutralized.

Yeeeeeeessssss Edit: So yeah, the name of the SCP is a reference to the Aristocrats joke. The "joke", or at least the common framework of it, basically goes as such. Alice has an idea for a play. She goes to Bob to pitch the idea to him. She describes a list of acts that begin somewhat innocuous, but quickly become increasingly disturbing and revolting, covering every sin and crime imaginable. By the end of it, Bob is horrified and sickened, but manages to ask her what she'd call such a play. Alice's answer? "The Aristocrats!"

Btw, that lady that taught Leopold that occult stuff with which he made this SCP species, is heavily implied to be a Sarkic. In other words, these malformed monstrosities are the result of Leopold the first dabbling in Sarkic flesh magic. The biggest clue is when Leopold uses the words "The Way of All Flesh". A term the Sarkics use for their religion/practices.

The Foundation is trying to destroy these beings. But the list they have of hives is only partial. I think the reason the Foundation keeps some of them alive is hope that they will tell where the rest of the hives are.

From what I can tell, they’re stronger than any human but like… they seem pretty easy to beat. Mount all your troops with really bright UV lights and some basic shotguns and boom. Probably clear out a hive with just one or two

They reach physical maturity in less than a year and can be born in just a few weeks, the danger is that they’ll just grow in population so fast that they’ll beat the rest of humanity through sheer numbers.

You know what? I've never heard the joke surrounding the aristocrats, either. All I know is that Dad once told me it was an extremely dirty joke. "Life Undeserving of Life" is something of a special trigger to me. Dad and I have a shared interest in history and Grandpa was in the navy during WWII. Most of my family would have eventually qualified as "Life Undeserving of Life" thanks to physical and/or mental disabilities, being Catholic, being *poor,* or some combination of the above. Hell, the German side of the family is even the wrong *sort* of German.

Now this is one I've been waiting for for the longest time now!

This scp is absolutely disgusting but still very fascinating in my opinion.

Would you believe me if I said that this isn't the worst SCP?

Much of this is based from actual historical records about the Hapsburgs. For instance, they had married into noble bloodlines across much of Europe & eventually got to a point where severe inbreeding was taking its toll on royal & noble families across the region. Where that journal by Leopold the First described the inbred conditions of Charles the Second of Spain were historically correct, the autopsy on Charles revealed those conditions (heart the size of a peppercorn, etc) as confirmed by history. There's not much scarier than the possibility of a particular kind of horror that originates from known, recorded history...The "backstory" is already established in facts. It seems that, for this one, you not only need a copious supply of Brain Bleach™, but also multiple cases of Pepto Bismol™...

I love that in most media shadowy organization that control normalcy by abducting anomalous are portrayed as all powerful and evil. Meanwhile, SCP foundation struggles to keep apocalypses in the boxes!

@@nicksfish3038 unless some of the other hives also use it. But i agree that the tzeentch connection is the weakest. Korn only fits for some of them and even then it's fairly moderate. Still though their dedication to stagnant self-perpetuation makes a strong case for nurgle still.

Yeap, the Hapsburgs were married into so many families and tied so deep into the European geopolitical landscape that it was just silly. It's also why a lot of portraits of various world leaders have particular traits. The Hapsburg chin became a widely known thing among rulers. It was not an uncommon thing for the Hapsburgs to use their family to secure political alliances between nations by marrying off first cousins to each other from different royal rulers. The inbreeding got bad.
