Potential origins for SCP-035 & SCP-049. I was not expecting that. Then again, it makes sense that both may have their origins in Alagadda. The land of the Hanged King (SCP-2264-5) is very fascinating, & the idea that these particular SCPs came from it makes sense. Although it makes me wonder how the Black Lord lost his face (SCP-035) in the Foundation’s dimension.

There are many stories indicating that both They are from Alagadda. 035 lost his face shortly after trying to free the hanged king, and it is known that 049 is the king's nephew, as the son of Miss Moon, the king's older sister.

SCP-049 not being able to remember his origins other than his purpose of being a plague doctor is very interesting, because he has lived for so long he may either forgotten his origins or if he really did came from alagadda.

Before, I was intimidated by 049 because of that mask and dark robe and menacing eyes, but now I see him as a polite gentleman just doing his job

Thank you! That was this channel’s thing. It’s now yet another SCP Explained channel, but better drawn and animated. I wonder if the Patrons has something to do with it, or the analytics just isn’t doing well compared to the pop culture crossovers. Which is a shame. I still support Doc Bob, but it’s been months since we got exactly that.

I have always enjoyed your videos Dr. Bob, but it feels like all the scp youtubers I enjoyed just suddenly stopped making content about the more obscure ones and hard focused on the popular ones like 049. The animation is amazing as always, I just miss learning about other scps that you found that I never heard of such as the headlights and smokey.

Dr. Bob was the exception to this rule for a long time, well, until recently. Though they did do an obscure quite recently. Hopefully they will keep their content diverse.

Yeah, same here. Previously I was always watching Bob's videos the day they came out, every single time, but now, well... no. Even with Bob's usual quality, I just... cant manage to pay attention to these. Like, I've already heard about the "main" SCPs 2000 times over... they were neat at first, way back when, but they're just uninteresting now. Even with the best animation and narration my attention wanders and I typically dont finish the videos. And every single SCP-related channel started just doing this sort of thing over and over and over. Heck, SCP Explained in particular, I entirely forgot existed... used to really like that channel, now havent watched their stuff in months. Just... ugh. The original formula for this channel was superb, really miss it.

049 is actually pretty peaceful and polite that’s suprising to me

The french accent was 💯👍👍 Please make more origin stories. I find it very interesting knowing how these SCPs come into existence.

I must say that this story had everything, a possible response to 049's appearance, the possible connection he has with 035 (or at least because he knows him) and most importantly, one of the few appearances of 035 as "Black Lord of Alagadda", which aligns with the more recent stories 035 has been used in (specifically SCP 6500, a nice long story that's still under construction, but one I highly recommend).

035 definitely fell in love 049 for treating him, CHANGE MY MIND

I remember that frustration - even anger - whenever someone took my sketchbook without my permission or went thru it when I didn't say they could. I still recall once some boys taking my sketchbook out of my school bag while I was at the other side of the classroom doing a group project. I saw them huddled around my bag and then spotted my art book in one of their hands. Oh, man, I was ready too throw down and take names right then and there!

Origin stories and VS battles are okay - If it wasn't for the fact they seemingly replaced the original content and idea behind the channel, to cover lesser known SCPs and present some of the better known ones, in their own way.

AH! I hope there is more lore here. I’d love to see more if this arc!

Great video as always. Dr Bib is the only SCP channel that can do big SCPs and make it interesting. I’m fine with mixing up a little as long as we still get obscure case files still

NOO they are so lame stories that most of is already know. I can’t say they aren’t well done because almost everything this channel does is (excluding one video) they need to do either more current or esoteric scps like 6000 series etc. Thank god youtube comments don’t guide video topics, ngl I’ve been disappointed by fellow patreon supporters before but usually on point seems like they’ve come around to giving into their younger patreon supporters who swiped their mommies credit cards lately but that’s ok it will come full circle

Another origin story. But not really a sad one like the others. And I actually like that this one is actually close to the purported canonical theory that SCP-035 and SCP-049 were from Alagadda. And the French accent on 049 was spot on, because he really has one.

More I need more of this story. Best you guys have wrote over the last three years

I often enjoy the doctor stories, as he is both cracked enough in the head to be alien, but coherent enough to serve as a protagonist.

Another hit from Dr. Bob. The quality of lore and animation is top notch as always. Much better than some that churn out content, valuing quantity over quality. How can they put out a video where the narrator terribly mispronounces words? Is there no care in editing? It’s not like they spend much time on animation that’s for sure. I digress. I’ll happily wait the week or so for content, with flawless narration and storytelling, over what is basically dribble in comparison,
